Pricing Manager

Pricing manager has an essential role in achieving sales and profitability goals of the business unit.

Brief Description of Duties:
• Partner with sales, marketing and product management teams to develop strategic pricing solutions that align with company’s goals and objectives. Develop and maintain effective, market-based pricing for products or services.
• Manage prices and discounts in order to maintain a competitive market price for products and to maximize sales and closure rate while achieving gross profit margin goals.
• Competitive Pricing Analysis.
o Conduct market research and work with sales and product managers to better understand the competitive pricing landscape and client's price position. Recommend pricing actions based on the competitive analysis.

• Deal Pricing:
o Analyze special pricing requests for large customers and recommend appropriate discount or price.
o Perform analysis on effectiveness of special pricing activity and recommend corrective action.

• New Product Pricing:
o Work with product managers to price new products competitively, considering new product’s functionalities and competitiveness.

• Discount Programs:
o Recommend discount programs, based on sales and profitability performance.
o Analyze historical results of pricing activity using transactional data to identify actionable opportunities, develop creative solutions, and make recommendations to improve pricing performance balancing business objectives.

• Planning and Reporting
o Assist in developing the annual plan for sales and profitability of new equipment, setting GP% targets and reporting progress against those targets.

Essential candidate qualities, preferences and skills:
Ideal candidate will have:
• 1 to 3 to 5 years of experience in Pricing or related fields, ideally in a B to B industry
• Strong Communication Skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within deadline
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• SAP experience is preferred
• Knowledge of material handling industry is a plus.

Education:
• BA in Business; MBA with emphasis in Marketing highly preferred
