Pricing Analyst

One of Aquent's Fortune 500 clients in Indianapolis, IN is in need of a Pricing Analyst! The Pricing Analyst will be a key individual contributor supporting Industrial & Auto Repair’s (IAR) Pricing Initiative, the goal of which is to drive transformational performance improvement in pricing, focused on growing sales and gross margins by collaborating with the individual businesses within the platform including their product managers, sales, marketing and finance teams. The Pricing Analyst will lead and participate in efforts to identify, quantify and validate pricing improvement opportunities across the entire IAR global platform. He/she will work closely with the VP of Pricing and the functional leads in a hands-on manner to provide both the analytical infrastructure necessary for effective price decision making as well as analytical insights for price performance improvement. Specific Responsibilities and Expectations • Analyze large amounts of data from disparate sources • Refine and operationalize pricing KPIs • Assist in the development and adoption of a quantitative methodology • Provide guidance, supported by data analysis, to the businesses • Conduct deal win/loss analysis and provide relevant data on a regular basis • Utilize and drive adoption, where appropriate, of QlikView for price • Participate in the development of a standardized analytical package Requirements/Qualification • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred • Strong analytical skills with ability to understand and develop insights from complex business and market data, and ability to draw reasoned conclusions based on sound data interpretation • Financial modeling • Experience in at least one (and preferably more) of the following areas: strategic pricing, financial management, operationally oriented or strategic planning, channel management • Experience and comfort working in a complex, matrix, cross-division, cross-region environment • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, and ability to work effectively • Track record of successfully driving performance improvement efforts • Ability to step back from intricate details to view the business from a different perspective • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Strong project management skills • Willingness and desire to learn and develop new skills and capabilities Goals of the IAR Pricing Initiative • Create realistic price plans and execute to a high level of price realization • Successfully transition IAR from a cost-plus pricing mode of operation to a value pricing focused organization • Instill the concept of profitable growth among all stakeholders in the pricing process • Drastically improve the amount and quality of data available for fact-based decision-making to include the ability to track and measure the performance of decisions • Create a sustainable strategic pricing capability Please apply today if this sounds like the career move for you!
