Presentation Designer/Infographic Specialist

We are seeking a presentation specialist with infographic experience to assist with day-to-day business functions. You will develop and design presentations—primarily in PowerPoint—that advance key business objectives and tell the story through clean, concise, and well-organized slides. Whether preparing for a critical Board or Directors presentation, or assisting a department in developing slides for internal use, you are able to interpret complex concepts and translate them into easy-to-understand graphs, charts, and visual graphics. You will distill clear messaging while incorporating smart visual solutions that make a difference at high-stakes meetings that affect major business decisions.

Special Request: Link to a portfolio online or PDF samples of design work demonstrating experience with infographics (data analysis and data visualization). PowerPoint samples a plus.

We’ll also look to you to develop and maintain customized templates and graphics to ensure a consistent “look and feel” for the department. We’ll rely on you to provide training for these tools so your clients can learn how to communicate ideas and concepts in a way that is more accurate, accessible, and appealing.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Innate creativity and artistic background
• Solid knowledge of PowerPoint 2010
• Experience with infographics (data analysis and data visualization)
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite Software (mainly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver)
• Understanding of corporate branding
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple projects and priorities with demanding deadlines
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of management
• A strong desire to learn new skills, software and capabilities

Responsibilities include:
• Draft, consult for, and proofread PowerPoint presentations that advance key business objectives
• Use data analysis, graphic design, and appropriate graphics and technology tools to present information in a way that is accurate, accessible, and appealing
• Develop and maintain customized templates and graphics to ensure a consistent “look and feel” for the department, and provide training for use

Areas of support in order of priority
1. Senior executive support
2. External presentations (ex: decks for speaking engagements)
3. Large audience presentations
4. Department PowerPoint templates, including training (ex: comprehensive template deck for teams to use, plus periodic WebEx training)
5. The specialist may assist with other graphic design projects (ex: facility event signage, web design) or presentations in other IT areas
