Presentation Designer/IT Comms Strategist

If you have experience collecting and aggregating information from internal clients and various data sources and translating that information into a clear, concise and persuasive visual presentation to tell a compelling story for senior executives; we need your expertise. This position is an individual contributor role that will provide communications and presentation development support to our healthcare client’s IT Infrastructure Management Group.

This position is responsible for developing communications strategies in support of groups that are in partnership with IT Communications and leadership teams. Your responsibilities will also include creating, writing, and managing production of deliverables in support of these strategies.

This position is also responsible for identifying key stakeholders and recommending communications initiatives to enhance stakeholder awareness, convey progress and outcomes, and build stakeholder confidence in various initiatives.

Essential Functions:

• Translate complex concepts into easy-to-read presentations using charts, graphics, or visual aids
• Work in a team environment, collaborate with SME’s to translate their story into compelling, easy-to-digest visuals using minimal words within PowerPoint
• Expert software knowledge in PowerPoint, along with Adobe CS software (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, & Dreamweaver)
• Transform text-based data into visually stimulating, cohesive design that tells a story and doesn’t miss a single opportunity to visualize data (Info graphics portfolio / experience a plus)
• Produce clean, concise PowerPoint presentations showing financials, performance status, risks, and other key measures for review by executive committees
• Create and modify presentations and supporting materials to communicate and account for strategic imperatives, risks and opportunities, and other information-based strategies
• Administer and maintain the presentations, slide libraries, and version control
• Ensure a consistent look and feel for all presentations and formatted materials
• Strategize with Communications, Leadership and Staff to identify communication priorities, develop communication plans and creative briefs, research and analyze information and stakeholder audiences, write announcements and other communication materials, prepare presentations, and manage the overall communication program to fulfill client goals and objectives.
• In coordination with business partners, create consistent and compelling positioning, messaging, and tactics that are consistent with our client’s brand.
• Overall ownership of all department web presence (both on client’s main consumer facing site and client’s internal Sharepoint pages) - working with team content owners.
• Primary ownership of all internal organization announcements (hiring, departures, organizational changes, department events and reminders).
• Primary ownership for creating town hall materials.
• Create and maintain communication audience (stakeholder) matrix, and calendar.
• Create and maintain communication creation/editorial process with departmental content owners.
• Tactical ownership of all executive communications, including initial drafting, editing and gaining final approval from content owners.
• Ensure all department communications align with corporate standards.
• Assist with editing team communications as needed.
• Drive communications projects in a way that strengthens internal relationships, reflects KP's core values and desired behaviors, and reflects best practices of business communications.

Required Qualifications:

** Bachelor's degree in related field and/or 4 years of equivalent experience; High School Diploma/GED Required

** A minimum of 7 years of experience developing corporate communications or presentation materials, including project communications support, event management, and content development.

** Demonstrated professional-level writing and editing skills for Web and traditional media.

** Superior collaboration skills for working in a complex, non-hierarchical organizational structure.

** Must have strong communication and planning skills, be detail oriented, well organized, problem solving/analytical, self-directed, team focused, and results oriented individual.

** Demonstrated excellence in directly supporting senior executives in large organizations and influencing their approach to communications while nurturing the relationship.

** Demonstrated ability to develop strategic partnerships with large, complex organizations.

** Ability to consistently demonstrate integrity, high-energy, initiative, and self-confidence.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years’ experience preparing and presenting visually to key stakeholders
• Strong preference for candidates with proven experience in a graphic design, internal communication or marketing environment
• Expertise in design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and MS PowerPoint
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to merge data from multiple sources and provide senior leadership with an insightful overview
• Ability to create senior management dashboards
• Must provide a portfolio of work online or in PDF
