Description
Boutique investor relations firm serving companies in the healthcare industry is seeking a part-time graphic design guru for PowerPoint/Presentation Specialist position. The right candidate will be able to create compelling presentations, pitch books and other electronic and printed materials to support the marketing of our clients to investors and the media. Candidate must have a strong creative vision, a high level of design sophistication, a keen eye for visual imagery. Interest and/or experience in the science and/or the healthcare industry is preferred.
Responsibilities
o Create high-quality slide presentations, pitch books, graphs, charts, templates and other print/design projects
o Transform generic, text-heavy presentations into more graphically engaging, concise, and interactive experiences
o Edit slide decks; import and revise graphics files
o Support senior team with all client related PowerPoint activities
o Assist in the design and development of other collateral materials including printed decks, bound presentation books, handouts, etc.
o Conduct image searches as needed
o Organize and maintain the electronic presentation files
o Handle sensitive documents and information
o Edit documents according to client instructions and for correct grammar, spelling, syntax, and punctuation
o Proofread and quality check documents
o Oversee day-to-day execution of assigned projects
o Deliver high quality layouts in a timely manner

Qualifications
o Portfolio showcasing powerpoint examples
o Expert skills in PowerPoint (2003 and 2010), Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat)
o PC Platform experience is needed
o Knowledge of HTML, CSS and Flash a plus
o Graphic design certification or Bachelor’s degree (communications/design-related degrees preferred)
o Ability to convey thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively in verbal and written format
o Creative and conceptual presentation designer, with proven effectiveness in using design and layout elements to make presentations more interesting, readable, and to support the intended message
o Ability to be organized, detail-oriented, and accurate
o Ability to work on multiple projects within a fast-paced, multi-task working environment while adhering to strict deadlines
o Strong team player; positive and collaborative team member
o Able to learn new concepts quickly
o Must be able to provide PowerPoint samples
o Available to work evenings and weekends as needed
