Presentation Design Specialist

We are looking for an individual who is highly customer focused and has proven visual and graphic design ability, creativity, solid production skills and expert knowledge of MS PowerPoint.

Responsibilities include:
• Using visual and graphic design expertise to shape and develop executive level presentations and content.
• This individual must have the ability to collaborate
with internal customers to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, persuasive visual context.
• Successful candidates should possess a passion for high quality, professionalism, strong business communication skills, attention to detail, ability to
multitask, prioritize, work efficiently towards deadlines and perform well under pressure.

Essential Functions:
• Lead and contribute to a wide variety of visual design and communication projects including executive level
presentations, strategic communications, internal websites, training and awareness campaigns and large scale events.
• Leveraging your creative ability, work closely with senior level executives and their organizations to translate complex concepts into high impact presentations.
• Review visual and graphic designs to ensure they are high quality, effective and are aligned to both the brand standards and the established brand identity of the Technology Risk Office.
• Lead design for all visual communication collateral; responsible for how we bring our Technology Risk Office brand to life through all types of channels of communications.
• Create inspiring cross-organization communications assets delivered through rich presentation, media content and customer stories and other experiences.
• Foster positive, productive relationships with key internal partners including senior level executives.
• Ability to work across organizational boundaries, across various levels of the organization.
• Actively involved in production process leveraging a customer-centered design approach to impact the creative direction of projects.
• Transform text-based data into visually stimulating, cohesive design that tells a story. Must be able to simplify the complex.
• Be able to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment with a hardworking and diverse group of individuals.
• Collaboration skills and positive attitude are key.
• Multitask and prioritize across multiple long term projects while being flexible to assist the team with adhoc design requests.
• Organize and manage presentation templates, slide and icon libraries, and project archives.

Basic Qualifications:

Additional Requirements:
• Experience using Macromedia Dreamweaver, and Interwoven Teamsite.
• Working knowledge of policies, practices and systems.
• Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
• General application of concepts and principles.
• Full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
• Excellent editorial skills demonstrated.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).

Preferred Qualifications:
• 3-5 years’ experience in graphic design and visual communications
• Excellent verbal communication and highly developed writing and editing skills.
• Must have the ability to work well with multiple clients, manage multiple projects and handle sensitive information with the strictest confidence.
• Ability to translate technical data into more consumable outputs.
• Experience in creating presentations for use by Senior Management and Leadership.
• Strong client relationship with a focus on Executive Level personnel.
• Excellent MS Office skills especially in PowerPoint.
• Expertise in design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver.
• Clean and diverse portfolio of your work online or PDF.
• Undergraduate degree in graphic design or related field.
• Relevant experience in technology, risk management, cyber security or compliance related environments.
• Enjoy influencing others to adopt more of a design and user-centered approach to communications and problem solving.
• Exceptional organization and problem solving skills; thinks “outside of the box”.
• Project or program experience such that your work can be planned, managed and delivered to constrained timelines on time and with quality.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic partnerships with large, complex organizations.

• A skilled visual storyteller, and possess a strong portfolio that showcases your creative and emotional design solutions to prove it.
• Have a strong point of view and can back up viewpoint with strong rationale.
• Have a strategic mindset with proven end-to-end
thinking and execution abilities.
• Have a track record of pioneering strategies and techniques for communicating news and information to audiences in a way that inspires, informs, and galvanizes action.
• Have best-in-class design abilities with proven experience in various forms of corporate and executive communications, key message, and content development.
• Are a visual problem solver; have the ability to present complex information in a simplified, digestible, delightful way.
• Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and innovating to drive results.
• Bring enthusiasm to the work, and are confident, inspired, and highly motivated about making a difference.
• Can work independently, but enjoy collaborating with diverse teams.
• Website and Wiki design experience

• Minimum three (3) years of editorial experience in an administrative, communications or public affairs support role within a national complex organization
or with a communications/public relations firm.

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related field, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
