Post Production Assistant
Our client is looking for an ON CALL post production assistant, this means worker hours may vary week to week. Hours to start are M-F 8am-5pm.

The Digital Media Production department is seeking a freelance entry level Post-Production Assistant to help with the day-to-day requests of providing authored DVD's, converting/creating digital files, CD/DVD duplications, watermarking videos, and similar tasks.

The DMP department supports other internal departments with the creation of Sizzles, Editing, Web Commercials/Videos, and Product Demos, as well as providing technical support for Trade Shows and Corporate Events. The ideal candidate should be technically adept at DVD Studio Pro, familiar with Episode, and have a general understanding of Final Cut Pro.  In addition to being extremely organized and able to work in a team environment, this candidate should be able to handle various projects and tasks simultaneously as well as communicate effectively with clients and coworkers via phone and email.  This is an entry-level position with limited creative input that requires a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with and take direction from Post-Production Coordinators and Editors in fulfilling requests for content.
Complete simple editing projects, convert video files, author DVD's, watermark videos, duplicate and label large quantities of DVD's and CD's.
Delivering videos in a variety of formats through email and FTP.
Organizing multiple short-term projects simultaneously and tracking them to completion.
Communicating effectively via email, phone, and in person with internal clients, coworkers, and outside vendors.
Have a can-do attitude.

Qualifications:
1-4 years experience in film post production or media/video focused
Mac Literate, and comfortable on a PC.
Proficient in DVD Studio Pro.  Final Cut Pro experience preferred.  Photoshop, Illustrator experience a plus.  Microsoft Office a must.
Experience converting files and be familiar with most file types.
Ability to troubleshoot problems and be proactive.
Must be able to work with little supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work on multiple tasks with very tight deadlines.
Solid media management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.
Being comfortable working in a corporate environment.

Education:          
HS Diploma, current college student or recent grad with post production experience or equivalent degree.
