Ability to balance artistic approach with practical business requirements. Solid command of lighting concepts using tungsten and strobe equipment. Provide direct creative support to art directors, marketers, and designers on new line looks and complex ad assignments. Establish retouching/illustration techniques that visually enhance products. Ensures a high level of technical quality and aesthetics for all photography created and distributed by the studio. Photograph and retouch images to be used on cross-sells, posters, packaging, and print ads. Works directly with designers, marketers, and management to establish desirable lighting and set conditions. Art directs, builds, and photographs products in elaborate and complex environments (sets) in order to demonstrate play patterns. Creates unique retouching techniques to fulfill customers overall line-look requirements. Contributes to packaging and studio design “kick off’” meetings providing creative and technical options including pre-production test shots. Maintains a “high quality/high resolution” image archive of all work done in the studio.
