You must be passionate about Augmented and Virtual Reality and knowledgeable about the current VR space (and about new technology in general). You must be able to demonstrate experience and an affinity for collaborative, dynamic teamwork. Experience working on a fast-growing, high-intensity team, working in a SCRUM/Agile environment, working at a startup and/or working with an R&D team is strongly preferred.

We are looking for a Commercial photo studio or film studio 1st assistant with extensive experience in all formats of digital imaging and capture systems to join team. Experience with lighting setup, complex imaging systems and hardware setup data is critical to success in this roll. The ideal candidate will have experience in C or C+ programming of image capture systems for automation environments. As the photo studio 1st assistant you will setup systems and support equipment according to documented requirements, you will also assist in the development of these documents. Imaging equipment and related computer systems, and lighting systems are all a part of the environment that you will need to be competent in. You will be responsible for set-up, testing and capture on these highly scalable imaging systems. B.Sc. Photography or Film and at least 5+ years studio experience, still photography, video or film production.

In addition to applied education requirement, a minimum of 3-5 years as a lead working studio assistant in film or commercial photography environment is required. Extensive experience with digital imaging systems computer vision systems, photographic, video and lighting. Experience with setting up complex rigging and electronic sub systems is also required.


· C/C++ Programming (Linux, Windows)

· 3+ years’ experience commercial film or photography studio production environment

· 3+ years’ experience in digital imaging systems and all support hardware

· 3+ years’ experience electronic motion control systems a plus

· 3+ years in professional lighting and all related equipment

· Background in stereoscopic image capture a plus

· Excellent communication skills, spoken and written, and the ability to interface with all levels of personnel

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment with other software engineers, hardware engineers in a dynamic startup environment.

· Must be very detail-oriented with excellent organization skills and effective time management skills

· Must be able to manage multiple tasks at once

· Must be able to detail all aspects of these systems in documentation to produce accurate and timely work

· Requires a detailed and focused effort with a professional approach

· Set up imaging systems, lighting systems, control and balance lighting, align and maintain systems in very exacting environment.
· Provides studio support for engineers on all aspect of these systems. Tasked with ongoing equipment setup, use and re-formatting of existing and new systems in highly innovative development environment on an ongoing basis.
· Prepares documentation and presentation material, and performs data entry into project management tracking tools.
