Photo Project Lead

Aquent has an exciting opportunity for someone experienced in managing full cycle photo projects! Our client is a world recognized, lifestyle brand. The Project Lead will serve as the front line, responsible person for key Photography projects as determined by the Program Manager. The Project Lead is responsible for determining the creative direction of a project by working with the requesting internal client and the Photographer. The Project Lead will ensure that client expectations are properly set, that adequate and appropriate resources are assigned to support the projects, that projects meet budget and timeline needs, adhere to the brand and uphold the quality standards of Creative Services and the company.

Job Description:
This position serves as the front line responsible party and primary liaison for internal stakeholders for key Photography projects. The incumbent will work closely with the Program Manager to receive assignments, communicate project status and any potential resource constraints. Working with the Photographers, the Project Lead will provide clear proposals, timelines and cost estimates to internal clients, and deliver strong creative guidance to production teams and clients in support of the clients’ defined project needs. The Project Lead will use his or her expertise to provide strong recommendations to internal clients that insure the project effectively communicates the brand message, business need, and exhibits the strong visual identity of the company. This individual will be responsible for maintaining communication on the assigned projects between the Photographers, Program Manager, Studio Coordinator and internal client. The Project Lead will also display a strong understanding of process and insure that all projects uphold the standard processes defined for Creative Services and the company. Duties will include working with clients to identify key messages and the best solutions for communicating those through the use of photography; providing strong direction to project teams; aligning the right resources on the project for success; effectively communicating project needs and status; and ensuring project focus and viability; and actively pursuing new work.

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
1) Providing creative direction and guidance to project teams regarding the project goals, brand, corporate marketing/communication guidelines, visual guidelines and quality standards;
2) Discussing with internal clients the products, services, goals and creative requirements of their initiative to determine optimal direction for the project;
3) Overseeing project timelines and budgets and communicating status effectively to all project stakeholders for assigned projects;
4) Effectively communicating with clients regarding any issues concerning assigned projects and educating clients about design and print processes;
5) Working with ambiguity and changing deadlines;
6) Managing project costs;
7) Keeping accurate records of project costs, steps, suppliers and other details;
8) Coordinating approvals within the corporate structure;
9) Maintaining company standards regarding product integrity, trademark and communication guidelines
10) Assessing, taking on and managing risk
11) Meeting deadlines / Ensuring proper closing methodology
12) Be the professional bridge between clients wants and needs to the Photographer’s talents with Creative Services resources and implementation processes.
13) Asking the right questions and delegating to the correct people is imperative.
14) Fulfilling the client’s quality vision scope

OTHER DESIRABLE SKILLS:
• Comfortable with ambiguity, changing priorities and timelines
• Ability to monitor project or maintenance related costs
• Process driven
• Ability to maintain company standards regarding product integrity, trademark and communication guidelines
• Excels at time management and understands reality of project duration and timelines associated with Creative projects
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to a variety of individuals on multiple organizational levels
• Ability to multi-task and comfortable with various concurrent projects.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience producing complex photography or digital projects for clients
• 2-3 years of project management experience within a management consultant firm, agency, brand or other digital solutions provider
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Proficiency in both Mac and Windows platforms
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Qualifications:
• Must be able to manage and deliver to “agency” expectations – short deadlines, high-impact output, professional delivery and excellent customer service to our internal staff and clients.
• Excels at time management, understands how long jobs take within Creative teams.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to a variety of individuals on all organizational levels.
• Must be a multi-tasker, comfortable with various projects happening at the same time.
