Project Overview
Fast paced, high profile AX project
Focus: Photojournalism; sports
Target start date: April 4/23
Length of project: ongoing
Location: Project team in Bellevue. Training onsite during regular business hours; work remotely.
Hours: offsite evening and/or weekend shifts (noon-8pm, 2pm-10pm, etc.—must be flexible); may be a few onsite meetings

Work Details
Select editorial and commercial stock photography from a variety of approved image sources
Choose smart, compelling visual solutions that effectively and appropriately tell the story
Adhere to journalistic integrity—timeliness, accuracy, objectivity, narrative
Extract the best visual solution from potentially complex editorial content
Adhere to set price-points to produce the highest quality content within budget
Use creativity and persistence to track down usage permissions for obscure subject matter
Successfully complete required production for images, including:
Resizing and cropping images
Balancing color, levels, curves, sharpness, etc.
Optimizing photos for the Web according to specifications
Include accurate and succinct photo captions
Articulate image choices verbally and in writing, as needed
Collaborate with the Editorial team for clarification of intent, as appropriate
License images regularly using internal tools

Skill Set
Resourceful and proven ability to employ effective and creative problem-solving skills
Ability to appropriately translate image requests into compelling imagery
Balanced self-directed and team player
Open to constructive criticism and follow up
Expert in Photoshop (as outlined above); additional skills a plus
Knowledgeable and experienced in news, sports, finance, and popular culture research and photo-editing
Excellent written and verbal communication
Advanced PC skills, including Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Minimum 3 years photo-editing experience; emphasis in photojournalism is preferred
A BA/BS degree or equivalent is preferred

Provide for review
Resume including photo research and editing details
Portfolio (if available) showing samples of work (link to portfolio or work samples is preferred)
Test results with brief explanation of images choices
