Pharmaceutical Advertising Copywriter/Content Manager

Our pharmaceutical client is looking for an Advertising Copywriter/Content Manager for a year-long contract.

This role provides copywriting, editing, and content research for print and electronic media for the client's advertising, promotion, and other communications. Deliverables include copy and content for sales collateral, product and indication launches, sales meetings, convention exhibits, direct to physician/HCP communications, direct to patient communications, and Managed Health Care programs. The Copy Content Manager has proven expertise writing for both print and interactive, including videos and web/multimedia. This person may also be called upon to write on an ad hoc basis for internal communication programs, including sales training, incentive projects, change management communications, and internal and external corporate and C-suite communications.

Responsibilities include implementing and expanding marketing strategy and tactics by creating copy and content that engages customers and stakeholders (patients, caregivers, friends, family and healthcare decision influencers) in ways that improve quality of communication and facilitate breakthrough, innovation, and differentiation.

The Copy Content Manager has a demonstrated record of writing in the biopharmaceutical arena, including medical papers and research documents. Must be able to work in fast paced environment while ensuring that copy and content are delivered on time and on strategy. Has a working knowledge of FDA advertising and promotion regulations and AMA style guidelines.

The Copy Content Manager ensures that suitable references are used to support all product and promotional claims. They work with multiple internal and external resources in the development, writing, referencing, editing and creation of reference decks and grids.
Supports the commercial team, with ad hoc support of other functions and corporate teams.
Develops content in collaboration with franchise and cross-functional review processes (Medical, Regulatory, Legal, etc.)
Generates consumer, external facing creative content and concepts.
Collaborates with art directors and designers in the creation of promotional materials.
