Pharma Copywriter

Job Description

Works as a team with Art Director to develop concepts, create copy and execute creative integrated campaign projects, with an emphasis on digital, on assigned accounts.

- Develops concepts with Art Director that resolve marketing problems in a fresh, unique and original way while supporting and building the client’s brand
- Creates effective conceptual copy that is cohesive with Art Director’s designs
- Works with Art Director to make sure all copy inserted in layouts is accurate and complete prior to release to client
- Ensures that all changes and adjustments are reported accurately to Creative Director, Project Manager & Account Management teams
- Reports regularly to Creative Director on status of projects
- Works with team members across Copywriter skillsets to ensure constant communication on projects
- Makes recommendations to Creative Director and other team members on improving processes and products
- Collaborates with and supports Senior Copywriter or VP/Creative Director (Copywriter)
- Gains a solid understanding about the client’s business and customers
- Develops proper presentation skills for client-facing projects
- Continues to build upon copywriting skills

Minimum Experience & Other Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in English/Literature, plus three or more years of writing experience in a marketing / advertisting agency environment
- Proficiency in MS Office, Entourage, server environments, etc. on a Mac; - Ability to research topics efficiently
- Superior & effective oral & written communication skills
- Experience writing for multiple mediums, including digital, print, TV & radio, with an understanding of how to translate a brand across all channels
- Ability to meet high standards for quality and accuracy under tight deadlines
- Ability to work above and beyond the call of duty and provide support across departments in a team and matrix environment
- Ability to prioritize, organize and multitask effectively
- Ability to exhibit client service approach with results-driven performance
- Understanding of how to solve marketing problems with creative solutions
