Support for Small Business Managing Editor (global)

Help us create a best-in-class web experience for our small business customers. This role will manage nontechnical and thought leadership content that speaks to broad business and technology challenges that are top of mind for small business customers. This content will enhance the other goals of our support site, which are to provide easy-to-understand technical information to resolve issues, and enrichment/how-to materials to help educate small businesses on how to better use their products. We are looking for a savvy editor to help influence the content strategy around the thought leadership and educational content, and manage the overall editorial calendar for the site.

Responsibilities include:
• Creating and managing the overall editorial calendar for the Support for Small Business site
• Providing input on valuable topics for Small/Medium Business (SMB) audience to create content around.
• Use quantitative and qualitative insights to assist with identifying key business topics of interest to small businesses
• Manage submissions from contributors and subject matter experts in partner organizations
• Coordinate with other internal content producers on planning themes and topics
• Manage submissions from external contributors and ensure top quality writing
• When needed, write or modify submission to suit site content needs
• Build and manage a dynamic review process with stakeholders, appropriate to the type of content in review
• Leverage existing relationships (and help to build new ones) with site management on relevant sites for syndication of Support for Small Business site content
• Coordinate with localization and production team to publish the content



Previous experience needed:
• Managing Editorial Experience: developing voice/style guides, developing and managing editorial calendars, establishing editorial processes, guidelines, and structures
• Applicants with demonstrated stable of industry/freelance contacts strongly preferred
• Writing or editing for newspaper, magazine, or other nontechnical channel
• Experience with small business customers a definite plus


Qualities needed:
• Motivated self-starter
• Excellent communication skills- both written and verbal
• Non-technical writing skills for a variety of audiences and across a large breadth of topics
• Project/content management skills (ability to manage inputs and engagements with multiple stakeholders) and drive content to action
• History of making data driven decisions is a plus
