Part Time Marketing Manager

A client in the renewable energy industry is currently looking for a part-time Marketing Manager! The ideal candidate will have experience working in the utility industry!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance and manage development of marketing activities, campaigns and promotions outlined in established Ductless Heat Pumps (DHP), Heat Pump Water Heaters (HPWH), and Dryers marketing plans
  • Activities align with established marketing plan directions and leverage opportunities and insights across company initiatives
  • Marketing best practices are implemented throughout
  • Campaigns, promotions or activity goals are clearly defined in creative briefs, measured and met
  • Activities, campaigns and promotions are strategic in meeting program goals, utility stakeholder needs and are leveraging available insights, data and market intelligence to deliver targeted results
  • Oversee implementation of marketing plan tactics, ensuring they are executed on time, on budget and in close coordination with utilities.
  • Support coordination of marketing activities with utility partners This person will not engage with utility partners directly, but rather help develop, gather or message content for utility distribution and/or flag opportunities for utility coordination.
  • Identify opportunities and provide content for sharing marketing updates at program work groups
  • Review all marketing materials and communications that are sent or presented to utility partners; flagging communications that need to be reviewed by Stakeholder Relations and/or the Senior Manager, Marketing
  • Update annual marketing calendars for utility partners
  • Serve as the residential lead on the program cross-functional teams for DHP, HPWH, Dryers, Retail Products Portfolio initiative, working with evaluation, planning, and product teams as needed to ensure marketing’s and the target audience voice is represented throughout product and program strategy discussions.
  • Working with Program and Evaluation Managers to support the 2014 DHP and HPWH Market Progress Evaluation Reports.
  • Attending weekly cross-functional program team meetings with internal and with external (contractor) teams
  • Support the Retail Products Portfolio (RPP) initiative in evaluating marketing opportunities with the initiative in close coordination with the Senior Manager, Marketing.
  • Work with company Initiative and Consumer Products Strategy manager to stay apprised of retailer and utility collaborative marketing interests
  • Support company RPP program team in developing strategies to facilitate discussion among the utility program work group to discuss marketing’s role in this initiative (this person will not facilitate this discussion, but rather work behind the scenes)
  • Oversee the application of new style guides and revised creative collateral resulting from completed market research for DHP and HPWH. This includes updating collateral and ensuring new messaging is implemented throughout marketing activities throughout the year.
  • Review and edit campaign reports to ensure they summarize needed information and filter findings internally as needed.
  • Serve as the residential lead for Corporate Communications materials and projects
  • Support annual reporting
  • Support monthly and quarterly funder reporting, ensuring marketing success and progress are represented adequately
  • Ad hoc Corporate Communications messaging requests for things like company Board of Director presentations
