Part Time Communications Writer/Editor

This is a PART TIME FREELANCE POSITION-

The project coordinator supports regular and effective employee communication to ensure client associates in Global Technology Campus in Cary, NC, are informed and engaged. This communication professional has strong writing, editing, and web skills as well as the ability to prioritize for greatest impact in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Edit rough-draft content and prepare for email and web communication
• Consult with web page owners to develop/layout content and manage execution
• Create, edit, and post slide content within digital signage system
• Monitor communication request system to ensure content is released on time
• Support employee and community outreach events
• Coordinate basic procurement activities

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of an undergraduate degree (preferably in Journalism, English or other communication-related discipline)
• 1 -3 years of communication experience in a corporate environment
• Superior writing, editing, and web communication skills
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher); experience with graphic design and photo editing software a plus
• Experience with content management systems (CMS); knowledge of SharePoint Microsoft web application a plus
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Strongly preferred - moderate knowledge of HTML, CSS; basic knowledge of JavaScript
