Part-Time | Senior Copywriter

This is a part-time role, 2-3 days a week (16-24 hrs/wk).
We are seeking a versatile Senior Copywriter for the online and mobile hotel reservation services to help our client create amazing customer experiences in their North American market.!!!

You'll be a key decision-maker in a dynamic, experimental design & development culture – yes, your copy will be tested by real customers and optimized. In this role, your words are our product. So, as a self-motivated, organized and passionate wordsmith, you’ll take responsibility for our creative inspiration, quality control and creative process globally – with the ultimate output being smooth and inspirational ways for customers to find and book their perfect hotels. This is a part-time contractor (freelance) role, reporting to the Head of Copy.

Key responsibilities Hands-on production of compelling concepts and copy for a diverse range of marketing, merchandising and UX requirements – including promotions, campaigns, marketing collateral, corporate communications, directions for customers on the site, calls to action, explanatory text and more Vigorously championing copywriting style and tone throughout the North American business as dictated by the global tone-of-voice guidelines Reviewing and recommending improvements to existing copy Liaising with and supporting our localization (translators) and content (hotel descriptions) teams to optimize the quality of copy Working to tight deadlines on a daily, sometimes hourly basis Good proof reading skills with excellent attention to detail A passion for good copy, spelling and grammar Overview Confident and able team player – with excellent communication skills working alongside designers, product managers, developers, marketers and many other roles, in culturally diverse environments Problem-solving – supporting user-experience designers to overcome challenging dilemmas in the customer journey both logically and creatively. Bright, bold creative thinking – to produce engaging and compelling conceptually-led customer communications, and innovate products, technologies and customer experiences through your copy and ideas. Brand literacy – working closely with our brand team to bring our brand alive through your creative outputs Leadership – with managing and motivational skills, and the aptitude to both collaborate with and challenge senior decision-makers Strong organization skills and a calm approach to managing copy workflow and meet deadlines, sometimes in crazy time-zones Mastery of communicating in English, especially as it pertains to the craft of copywriting, and changing customer behavior with words Excellent attention to detail and proof-reading skills Your CV will show at least 3 years’ experience at a Senior Copywriter, Head of Copy or Creative Director-level, helping raise both the appreciation of, and implementation of, copywriting standards.

Your portfolio will demonstrate convincing evidence of your creative, customer-oriented ideas, and engaging, persuasive copy. Your references will enthuse about your excellent natural abilities as a leader, communicator and team player. It helps to have: A degree in English, or equivalent experience Experience working in digital environments or working alongside user-experience teams Expertise in direct marketing Experience with loyalty and CRM programmes A good sense of fun – you’ll be part of a friendly, sociable bunch It certainly doesn’t hurt to have a passion for travel.
