Paid Search Manager (SEO/PPC)

Our client is hiring a Paid Search Manager (PPC/SEO) to work onsite in their Boston, MA office. They are in the travel industry and this role would be focusing on their US market. The role starts ASAP, is 40 hours/week temp to perm, and sits onsite in Boston.

The FIRST TWO MONTHS in the role are to be spent onsite in their UK office for training. (Oxfordshire, specifically)

The Paid Search Manager is responsible for the day to day management and optimization of all US Paid Search campaigns to maximize profitability; reporting and analysis of marketing campaign data across all channels.

Full description below:

 Campaign maintenance and optimisation to achieve agreed KPI targets

including Impression Share (IS), Cost per Acquisition (CPA), Quality Score

(QS) and conversion rate.

 Remarketing strategy, optimisation and campaign management.

 On-going keyword research and bid management to deliver leads

according to sales capacity and demand whilst focusing on budget control

and profitability.

 Devise strategy and process for A/B testing of PPC and online advertising

copy, design and landing pages to maximise KPIs.

 Make recommendations on landing page optimisation to improve Paid

Search KPIs.

Online display advertising

 Campaign planning, setup and maintenance of display advertising

network placements.

Forecasting & budgeting

 Responsibility for forecasting and managing the US Paid Search budget,

setting KPI targets and reporting on results to the Board and Senior


Management and communication

 Liaison with relevant internal sales managers to adjust PPC / online

advertising campaigns according to sales capacity and demand whilst

maintaining Paid Search campaign profitability.

 To be the Paid Search champion within the US office ensuring that staff at

all levels understand the value of the channel and the role it plays in lead



 Analysis and reporting on all relevant KPIs to maximise Return on

Investment (ROI) of Paid Search channel and make recommendations to


Person Specification:

 A minimum of two years experience working within a fast-paced Paid

Search environment with budget responsibility and a strong focus on KPIs

and marketing data analysis to improve campaign performance. Recent

exposure to Paid Search / PPC is absolutely essential. Demonstrable

experience of managing a large (10,000+ keywords) Google AdWords


 In-depth understanding of Google Adwords and Google Analytics.

 Appreciation of latest PPC bid management and optimisation techniques.

 Experience of working with and analysing complex data sets using Excel.


 Advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of other campaign reporting and

analysis tools would be advantageous but is not essential.

 Google Adwords certified (preferred).

 Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics and SEO tools / webmaster tools
