Paid Search Manager

Vitamin T is looking for someone with great account management skills for a contract-to-hire role with one of our clients in Seattle!

Our client works with retailers to improve their visibility and help them be profitable. The SEM Account Manager will be working with 5-10 large accounts. They will be focused on helping grow paid search practice by delivering excellent service, providing guidance to team mates, and working with sales to develop new clients.

This person plays a key role to the overall growth and success of the performance team. The ideal candidate will bring a proven success in managing in-house or third-party marketing programs on behalf of retail clients. They must be able to interface and coordinate well with other teams.

Responsibilities
Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to the following:
• Serve as the primary strategist and point of contact for client PPC programs
• Coordinate with the client's marketing and merchandising/promo calendars
• Work with clients and internal teams to determine campaign objectives, establish search-specific key performance indicators, and timelines
• Develop and continually expand keyword lists
• Write and test efficiency of paid search text ads
• Select landing pages & manage copy & landing page tests to improve conversion
• Bid & campaign budget management
• Ensure success against client goals via ongoing optimization
• Perform in-depth quantitative analyses of marketing campaigns
• Generate marketing performance reports, providing analysis and execute on that analysis to ensure positive ROI where appropriate

Qualifications
• 3 years of experience managing performance based online search marketing programs for a retailer or direct-to-consumer marketer
• Ability to compile and analyze performance data and metrics and make decisions regarding campaign direction based on the analysis
• Strong understanding of online marketing venues, strategies and best practices
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and solid problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of search listing providers, 3rd party SEM tools, tracking tools, bid-management systems and keyword development tools a plus

Preferred Technical Skills
• Google AdWords certification
• Experience with Marin or other 3rd party platform for SEM campaign management
• Familiarity with e-commerce analytics software to evaluate retail marketing, sales transactions, and customer data
• Familiarity with software as a service (SaaS) business models, Web Services, and basic XML understanding a plus
• Advanced skills in Excel

Education: B.A./B.S degree in Business or Marketing preferred
