Paid Search Manager

Our agency client is seeking a Paid Search Manager for a 2-3 month freelance engagement. This candidate is responsible for day to day management of a client account, client related deliverables and client communication. The Manager will not only be responsible for overseeing the Senior Associates and Associates on their accounts, but may also be assigned to assist with training others on social roles and responsibilities and processes. The Senior Manager reports to the next most senior person on the account team.

Responsibilities:

·  Paid Search and Implementation

·  Develops keyword lists and selects landing pages, then submitting for client approval

·  Mastery of all relevant search platform UIs and capabilities, relevant API management platforms and strong knowledge of Tier II vendors and capabilities

·  Maintain a deep understanding of client business goals and marketing objectives, translating them into digital objectives/strategies

·  Prepare and present strategic media recommendations to client and agency management, including objectives, strategy, rationale, and all backup materials

·  Design and implement or oversee implementation of single and multi-variant tests to increase campaign efficiency

·  Develop innovative ways to present the group’s work

·  Oversee partnerships with search platforms, API partners and other related vendors

 

Team Management and Leadership

·  Lead Senior Associate and Manager in setting paid search strategies and developing appropriate media plans

·  Delegate work effectively so as to not only teach direct reports, but to deliver seamless work

·  Work with Senior Associate to fulfill set client strategies by creating deliverables and specific recommendations - Including account structure and implementation, optimizations, conditional testing, tracking, and overall management

·  Supervise, guide and counsel Senior Associate(s) and/or Associate(s) on all day-to-day activities and ensure that all processes are followed

·  Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, developing, and evaluating team members

·  Ensure integration & coordination between social and planning teams

·  Keep media and agency partners updated and informed on status of all account projects

·  Knowledge of the nuances of all clients/accounts/campaigns managed by junior members of team and maintain accountability for them

·  Initiate and lead appropriate cross-functional client meetings

·  Leads campaign financials (budgets/billing)

·  Manage solid relationships across agency and social media partners in order to ensure brand understanding, more effectively sell ideas, and contribute to positive Agency evaluations

 

Requirements

·  3 to 5 years of related experience

·  Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and/or communications preferred

·  Ability to work within and effectively manage a team, prioritizing and organizing multiple assignments for both self and team direct reports

·  Adherence to tight deadlines while delivering flawless work

·  Extremely detail-oriented, with clear and proven organizational skills
