The Packaging Project Coordinator must be able to command two disciplines with grace and calm under pressure—project management and proofreading.

The Packaging Project Coordinator will…

• manage the translation process by ensuring translators receive and return copy in a timely manner, and by checking against previous versions for consistency
• be responsible for all final proofs, ensuring that all packaging copy is 100% error free and on time
• be responsible for managing all packaging and labels copy projects for all brands across all markets (US, Canada, UK, France, Italy, China and Japan).
• be responsible for managing all packaging and labels copy projects across all markets: US, Canada, UK, France, Italy, China and Japan.
• work closely with Account Managers and Project Managers to ensure the Copy Team receives comprehensive creative briefs in a timely manner
• ensure that the creative briefs contain all relevant previous versions of packaging jobs
• work closely with the Copy Team to ensure all creative brief deliverables are completed on time
• attend all Packaging Team meetings
• ensure that all copy meets the expectations set by the Account Team’s creative brief
• work closely with the Packaging Art Director and the Senior Manager of Production and Sourcing
• work closely with the Packaging Copywriter, Senior Copywriter and Senior Copy Manager to ensure that all copy is aligned with the brand voice


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We need someone super organized and eagle-eyed. We’re looking for a Project Coordinator with uncompromising attention to detail—someone comfortable with being the final set of eyes to proof and approve before handoff.

The ideal candidate…

• displays excellent command of the English language with a knack for sentence structure and grammar
• understands the importance of deadlines and plans accordingly to meet them
• is professional, adapting quickly to unscheduled work and impromptu projects
• is an articulate speaker able to present ideas clearly, occasionally to a room full of people
• is a team player comfortable in a collaborative environment
• is always receptive to constructive feedback and understands that revision is an essential part of the creative process
• is detail oriented and intimately familiar with The Chicago Manual of Style and AP Stylebook rules
• has three to five years of packaging experience
• has three to five years of writing or editing experience, preferably in apparel (online or catalog) or advertising
• did well in school, BA in English preferred
• is proficient with Word and Mac
• has a great sense of humor
