JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a project/production manager for the sweet food and bakeware categories. The successful candidate will be an efficient project manager with high attention to detail, capable of juggling multiple live projects whilst maintaining on time delivery. Specific duties include -
• Manages packaging projects from concept development to finished pieces including updating WIP status spreadsheet for weekly issue to brand
• Acts as primary contact (merchant, food development, product vendors, printers) for all packaging related details
• Leads packaging kickoff and status meetings with merchants & design team
• Develops and manages all timelines and budgets on daily basis and keeps merchants and team updated
• Main contact with content team for all copy, recipe and proofing needs
• Works with packaging suppliers and product vendors to identify and source packaging structure & materials, negotiate costs and finalize all printing specifications
• Informs design team of key dates needed for design approval
• In conjunction with designer, works with outside photo/illustration resources to schedule, provide art direction, and manage color retouching process
• Prepares project folders to brief to production artists including ensuring all relevant information such as complete nutritional information has been received
• Manages production with printers and other packaging suppliers, including scheduling, proofing, and press checks as applicable.
• Issues purchase orders and processes all related invoices
• Manages Canadian labeling process for sweet food category
• Issues weekly project recap on review meeting decisions/next steps and current project status.
• Actively participates in review meetings by advising on timeline, budget and general project related details.
• Coordinates catalog comp requests and product needs for visual preliminary set ups and final walk-thrus
MUST HAVE:
• 3-5 years project management experience
• 3-5 years print production experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects with great attention to detail
• Performs well in a fast-paced environment
• Previous retail experience helpful
