One of our clients is looking for a Packaging Designer with CPG experience and a strong portfolio showcasing all packaging design work.

SUMMARY: The Graphic Designer is responsible for supporting the Marketing and Sales teams in executing the go-to-market strategies by developing new and innovative creative design marketing ideas/concepts/promotional items on a continuous basis.


Must be versatile in many different types of design communication (packaging, web design, photo retouching, sales collateral, POP, mock ups/comps, print advertising & editorial layout etc.)

Solid understanding of print production related to packaging and comprehensive knowledge of Website functionality

Ability to collaborate, listen and accept direction from manager and other designers

Must possess excellent project management, time-management, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with Traffic and Production to prioritize workload, identify potential bottlenecks and work through issues in a positive and productive manner with a combined focus on resolution

Possess strong ability to execute changes to templates as well as be able to create ground up designs from a design brief and be able to quickly and efficiently create designs that show understanding of composition and be on target with the brand and business strategy

Demonstrate a helpful and supportive attitude in understanding the bigger business objective that may motive redirection or fast turnaround


Post Secondary diploma/degree in Graphic Design/Marketing required

1 - 5 years advertising/retail/packaging experience

Comprehensive understanding of marketing, technology and web design

Ability to work comfortably on Macintosh with core knowledge of Adobe CS6 Products (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and Photoshop)

Must have an easy going personality as well as a sense of urgency

Innovative creative graphic design experience and passion is a must

Must be motivated, highly organized, flexible during peak workload, detail oriented and a team player on all levels

5% Search, locate, load and deploy files and images
5% Print out and mock up presentation boards and materials
40% Making client driven changes to existing files (mostly packaging)
30% Ground up design from written input
10% Client interaction on projects
10% Manages and acts as point of contact for designated business teams
