CONTRACT: Mon-Fri || Full-Time || 2-3+ Months
PAY: $25-$32/hr (Based on Experience)

OUR FORTUNE 500 RETAIL CLIENT IS IN NEED OF A PRINT PRODUCTION DESIGNER TO JOIN THE TEAM ASAP!

Print Production Designer

PD sits within the Creative Department, which is part of the larger Marketing and Visual Merchandising team. The department is responsible for all campaign development, window and in-store signage, emails and landing pages, direct mail, advertising, packaging and store support related design needs. PD manages 1 production designer freelancer and is managed by the Creative Director.

Production
• Following the creative process, PD manages global print production for our stores once design files are handed over to production team and builds mechanical files and releases and uploads files to printer
• Manages contract Production Designer
• Manages all global translations and workload
• Troubleshoots artwork files and color imagery prior to release
• Attends and actively participates in all departmental status meetings and touch base meetings. Keeps manager updated on project status, initiatives and key issues
• Able to retouch images when using an outside vendor is not an option
• Designs projects such as leveraged packaging, templatized signage programs, permanent signage and coupon updates
Asset Management
• Manage seasonal images with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Assets Module.
• Communication contact for the photography retouching process with online team. Includes circulating contact sheets, managing image selects, communicating direction and scheduling to retouching vendor, controlling quality on rounds of retouching and saving final images to appropriate server. Must maintain updated contact sheets of all images, per season, per brand
• Owns managing seasonal images on Box for all global partners
• Owns managing server space and archiving electronic jobs
• Owns managing and archiving released files
• Ensures and maintains process to keep structure and naming convention of files on server
Technical Support
• Acts as liason with IT department for all Creative Department technical issues, including plotter
• Manages printer supplies; ensures large format printer paper and supplies are kept current
• Keeps running list of department supplies












Qualifications:
The division is an extraordinarily fast-faced division where workload and expectations are high and deadlines are tight.
• Minimum 5 years pre-press and print production experience in print production
• Experience managing a team a plus
• Must have strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines and to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Must maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Must have great attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills both vendor facing as well as internal BPs
• Must have expert knowledge of Adobe CS6, Microsoft Office and Mac platform
• Experience with Filemaker and Adobe Experience Manager a plus
• BA/BS degree in print production or related field or equivalent work experience at agency or design firm/in-house creative department required
