PR/Communications Coordinator

Our Real Estate client in Westwood is seeking a Communications Coordinator to sit on their PR team. This role will report to the VP of communications and will assist in developing print, digital and broadcast corporate marketing communications. You will work with the communications team to gather and create content for new internal communications plan, research and gather info on potential media opportunities, and monitor and alert the team of all mentions of the brand in print, online and broadcast media

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years in-house corporate or agency experience in Communications/PR and/or Marketing (national, regional, and/or local)
  • Prior experience in real estate preferred but not required
  • Prior experience with a Content Management System, preferably VOCUS, Factiva, Burrelles-Luce, Cision, or Drupal.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to take complex concepts and communicate succinctly and accurately; Ability to develop consistent “voice” for the company along with Communications Manager
  • Strong eye for detail and accuracy in all communications, particularly all that is outward-facing; this person, along with all members of the Communications team is a representative of the company and our brand
  • Desire to acquire knowledge in all aspects of communications, public relations and marketing in order to achieve organizational objectives and ultimately strengthen our brand
  • Base understanding of and interest in public relations dynamics, customer, audience and requirements as well as potential effects and implications of media coverage/inquiries
  • Strong project management skills

EDUCATION:​​

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or Management required
