PR Senior Account Manager/Account Director - Consumer & Lifestyle

My client is a boutique PR and social media agency in Melbourne that specialize in lifestyle, property, fashion, consumer, the arts, not-for-profit and design clients! They are going from strength to strength! Extremely strong in what they do, and growing, they are now looking for a Senior Account Manager to come on board and form a new division in consumer & lifestyle.

This agency requires someone who has strong contacts within that space to be able to head this division up and help develop it further however there is an existing team in place to support you.

The Role:

The Role of Senior Account Manager will see you reporting directly to the Account Directors. You will be responsible for creating and implementing the strategic direction and planning your clients while managing and overseeing the requirements of an Account Manager and, in some cases, an Account Coordinator.

Responsibilities include:

• Strategy planning
• New business approaches and meeting catch ups
• Creation of pitch documents and proposals
• Presentations
• Project/campaign proposals
• New business pitching and proposals
• Media pitching (in collaboration with junior staff)
• Copy/document review
• Media release writing and distribution
• Social media planning and content management
• Client management
• Staff workflow management
• Strategic evaluation and reporting
• Strategic recommendations
• Client rapport, relationship management and client retention
• Supervision and responsibility of staff as directed
• Event Management


It is expected that the Senior Account Manager is up to date with any new trends, topical news and new planning policies which may affect client campaigns, as well as maintaining an excellent relationship with key media and suppliers.
