My client is one of the world's leading entertainment companies, they're looking for a PR Manager with gaming experience to join their Interactive Entertainment team, working on exciting games titles.

Main duties include: planning and implementation of European press tours and studio visits for key videogames, co-ordinating information and asset calendars for territory circulation, regular liaison with Global PR team in California to ensure international needs are integrated into all plans; close integration with international brand marketing team; supporting territories in all their local PR campaigns

Department Overview
My client’s Interactive Entertainment department is a leading worldwide publisher, developer, licensor and distributor of entertainment content for the interactive space across all current and future platforms, including console, handheld and PC-based gaming for both internal and third party game titles.

Primary Purpose of the Job:
Under direction of PR Director, International, the PR manager is responsible for assisting and supporting 11 EMEA territories in all aspects of the PR Strategies and tactics for Interactive entertainment videogames and games distributed through third party distribution agreements. This will primarily ensuring timely delivery of and appropriately localised assets from the global PR team in LA, delivering clear concise PR and asset briefings and information flow to International territories, managing a number of packaged and digital titles directly under the supervision of the PR Director, managing press tours and providing support at key industry press events and providing general publicity support to the territories and providing International input into global PR plans.

Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for assisting the Regional PR Managers, in coordinating the planning and execution of PR tactics for all videogames including:
• Coordinates and supports all international territory marketing/publicity personnel in implementing publicity activities in country for achievement of overall marketing strategy and goals.
• Provides day-to-day support for the 11 international territories, including attendance on weekly PR conference calls and provide clear concise PR briefings to territories on PR plan roll-out.
• Manages a number of packaged and digital titles directly under the supervision of the PR Director.
• Assists in documentation of International territory PR plans and tactics.
• Assists in roll-up of pan-territory PR plans and other reporting, as necessary.
• Manages and updates the global PR calendars on a by-title and regular basis to ensure International’s needs are met and all assets are delivered in a timely manner and deployed per the global PR plan.
• Liaison with global WBIE PR team in managing the roll-out of all PR assets.
• Handles daily territory queries on PR asset availability and co-ordinates with relevant global PR colleague in Burbank.
• Oversees daily/weekly flow of campaign asset and activity updates to territories and global team.
• Monitors media and reporting on the company’s Interactive Entertainment and competitor product coverage.
• Handles localisation process of PR assets delivered by global team (eg video/trailer/EPK translations and localisation through agencies).
• Compiles press tours and supports PR Director at key industry press events including E3, gamescom and local games press events/tours.
• Coordinates with International Marketing team to ensure coordinated and integrated approach to overall marketing/PR campaigns and overall budget for the title.
• Budget management tracking of international’s PR expenditure, raising purchase orders and invoice management.
• Instigation of internal PR initiatives and reporting cross territorially and divisionally.

Selection Criteria

Relevant Previous Work Experience:
• PR experience preferably at a European or International level
• Managing products and campaigns from announcement through to launch
• Working with digital games titles preferred
• Working knowledge of a local market preferred
• Agency appointment or liaison
• Event support/management
• Game demos/presentation

Skills Required
• Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with senior level staff, both oral and written.
• Strong understanding of videogame industry a must
• Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs required.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to schedule work efficiently and work well under time constraints.
• Must have the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to learn quickly and take initiative.
• Must be able to perform and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must have strong technical ability and understanding of all current console platforms, ability to demo games where required
• Must be a gamer
• Social and new media savvy
