PR General Manager/Senior Account Director/Account Director - Consumer

Their clients are some of the worlds leading consumer brands within the tourism, major events, sport, hospitality, lifestyle, property and FMCG sectors.

Due to continued productivity they are now looking for a passionate, driven and entrepreneurial GM or Senior Account Director to come on board and cultivate and lead their Sydney offering, this role reports directly into the Managing Director and will have 2-3 reports.

Role Aim:

To manage and grow the Sydney offering. Create new business and growth opportunities that support the wider business goals. Nurture, grow and develop your team by
 employing engaging and supportive learning and development activities. Be a team player.

You will have:

• Proven strategic direction of multiple brands / accounts
• Excellent new business ability
• Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal 
communication skills
• Passion for, and experience in 
delivering integrated communications campaigns including digital and social media strategy
• Understanding of current and emerging trends and incorporating these insights into every day work
• Ability to devise creative and innovative solutions for clients, staff and the business
• Superior negotiation and influencing skills
• Proven strong client management skills and relationships including client growth
• Excellent and extensive media relationships and knowledge of the Australian media landscape
• Accomplished networking skills
• Proven leadership and mentoring of junior staff
• Accomplished budget management and P&L experience
• Ability to show initiative, prioritise and multi-task with a flexible attitude
• Exceptional attention to detail
• A creative, results-driven and solutions-focused individual

Major duties:

• Lead and grow a portfolio of exciting consumer brands
• Work closely with the MD and strive to create award winning integrated communications campaigns
• Manage, support and grow a team of account managers, executives and co-ordinators professionally and personally
• Identify potential issues and be proactive in problem solving
• Provide strategic guidance for both clients and the business in terms of innovation, new initiatives and best practice
• Reach or exceed your revenue targets by growing clients and winning new business
• Lead creative proposals and brainstorms
• Provide ongoing, regular client relationship management to ensure client needs and requirements are met
• Manage all client budgets, invoicing and monthly disbursements
• Produce work that is of the highest standard at all times and empower and drive your team to do the same
• Commit to personal and professional development
