Our client, a digital security company, is looking for a temp to perm PR Director. The position is located on-site in East LA and they are looking for somebody to start ideally the beginning of February.

- Support the client's products and services, including digital investigations, e-discovery, forensic security and data risk initiatives, helping discover and tell the company’s most interesting stories.
- Serve as a project leader for several strategic, high-visibility programs, including the launch of new initiatives and technologies, exclusive research and proprietary reports.
- Develop and own a variety of content, including key messages and talking points for spokespeople, campaign plans, internal and external FAQs, and coverage reports and analysis.
- Partner with agency team to develop and implement public relations and investor relations programs and activities.
- Manage relationships with media and senior-level executives, and work with regional leaders to tell a
global story.
- Ability to grasp complex and technical content, and break it down for different audiences.
- Counsel internal stakeholders and executives on effective proactive and reactive communication
strategies surrounding industry trends, while contributing a valuable external point of view on business opportunities and challenges.
- Must be able to build a strategic PR plan with social as a key lever to drive engagement and reinforce the client's thought leadership and market leadership position.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for investor relations events and communications (reports, news
releases, filings, presentations, videos, white papers)
- Work with members of the executive team to coordinate messaging and presentations for investor
relations events, earnings call support, analysts days, road shows, website and meetings
- Provide support for investor targeting programs and tracking systems

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or business.
- 10+ years public relations experience with 3-5 years supporting an investor relations function
- Full command of PR concepts, as well as previous experience in the strategy and execution of PR activities.
- Must be fluent in all aspects of social media and blogs
- Significant experience in a public company or at an agency managing the investor relations function for public companies
- Experience working with business and technology trade press, business press and bloggers.
- Ability to manage outside resources, including an agency team.

DESIRED SKILLS:
- A self-starter with a proven ability to multitask, prioritize and work with all levels of an organization.
- Passion for media relations, technical research, investor relations, social media, thought leadership
initiatives and reactive communications.
- Security, risk management or technology experience a plus
- Ability to grasp business issues and manage high impact and critical communications situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Due to the 24-hour nature of the threat landscape and security issues, crisis communications experience is strongly desired.
- Drive programs from beginning to end with little direction and an action-oriented approach.
