Public Relations Copywriter:

Direct the Global Employee Communications function by developing strategic initiatives that are building and presenting the culture around the globe. Develop strategic programs around being a good corporate citizen. Recommend new initiatives to senior management. Responsible for the implementation of these programs and the evaluation of their effectiveness. Must remain consistent with brand and achieve the goal of a well-informed employee population that is engaged in the organization regardless of where they are located.


 Develop and implement a global strategic plan to communicate effectively to employees

 Use business drivers such as video and technology to help lead the programs

 Survey industry trends as well as internal divisions to determine strategic initiatives for the

Employee Communications function that support all divisions

 Make recommendations to management on improving morale and developing appropriate

“celebration” moments

 Implement changes in processes and monitor their rollout and effectiveness

 Maintain and improve the Intranet to better meet the needs of the employee population both

domestically and internationally

 Manage updating the site with current information

 Works closely with foundation director

 Oversee award programs

 Coordinates executive travel calendar and organizing speaking events when travel permits

 Determine the most effective way to communicate with specific employee population groups during

emergencies (office closings, transit strikes, etc)

 Responsive to the employee base, regularly assessing their needs and reaction to the


 Manages a team


 BA/BS/Undergraduate (degree in Communication, English or Journalism is preferred)

 4 - 6 years experience managing an Employee Communication function

 Strong leadership, presentation and managerial skills.

 Ability to be viewed by senior management as expert in this area.

 Strong understanding of the media technology space

 Excellent writing and communication skills

 Be highly organized and detailed

 Ability to function in a fast-paced environment

 A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

 Multi task projects and ongoing responsibilities
