PR Communications Officer – Internal and External Comms – Logistics Firm

My client is a leading, franchised logistics firm, working across the whole of Australia. They have a very exciting new opportunity within their Marketing Team working into the Marketing Manager, for a driven, experienced Communications Officer to come on board.

Responsibilities:

• In conjunction with Marketing Manager, develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies.
• Monitor organisation website to ensure it is up to date and positively reflects a positive image of the organisation
• Develop and implement new website content in line with service offerings, national initiative and local activities.
• Assist in website maintenance, including but not limited to banner updates, content and images.
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationship with franchisees, offering support and advice with implementation of local marketing communications activities in conjunction with the marketing team
• Provide editorial support to content Franchise Support Office staff and content contributors by providing advice with regard to content, branding, and style guide
• Monitor and maintain content strategies social media pages in conjunction with digital agency
• Monitor social media and review sites for comments and interactions with customers, manage the response process
• Identify media opportunities, liaise with PR company to facilitate, monitor industry news and keep records of media coverage
• Assist in the development of communications strategies to manage issues
• Coordinate and publish internal communications across the network – weekly support pack, intranet articles, annual magazine
• Work with Marketing Manager and Heads of Departments on national launch strategies for service introduction and promotional campaigns
• Coordinate the creation and production of promotional material to support the business growth of franchisees
• Assist with events planning and management

Knowledge & Experience:

• Experience in producing copy across all media
• Strong understanding of social media and digital communications.
• Flare for writing concise, compelling copy
• Tertiary qualifications in communications, PR, marketing or journalism.
• Minimum four years’ experience in similar role
• Experience working within a franchise network is desirable
• Experience of website CMS
