PR Assistant Manager

A global beauty and haircare/color brand is looking for a PR Coordinator to join their team as a W2 Hourly Employee of Aquent. This role would be a full-time schedule at their offices at 10 Hudson Yards.

Duties:

  • Researching competitors, trends and sponsorship opportunities 
  • Requesting and managing Product Orders and trackers
  • Share in writing of external and internal communication - includes but its not limited to brand site, press correspondence, Planet L'Oreal intranet
  • Pitch trade partners to secure top media coverage for the Haircare and Haircolor categories while developing and maintaining relationships with contacts
  • Monthly press clips organization: monitoring, researching and scanning 
  • Reporting weekly and monthly PR results - Digital Dashboard
  • Continue to help drive Cision results - top in Care/Color impressions, PV, Credits (MOM/YOY goals)
  • Help oversee Cision Tracking Reports to ensure accuracy for PR 
  • Event management and support: Press Events, Internal Events, Cover and Artist Shoots, Education, Digital, Shows/Events, Artists Collections and Support 
  • Communicate with Artists on a daily basis
  • Help with internal blog content (Hair.com /Makeup.com) for editorial submissions and opportunities 
  • Help Oversee vendors/agencies for accurate results 
  • Liason with Marketing, Education, Chains and Print media partners, for proper messaging and asset distribution
  • Manage trade sponsorships
  • Lade on Photo Shoot logistics
  • Support on larger division shared partnerships and sponsorships
  • Support on Trade Show and Strategic Initiative Events: Imagination, Destination, etc.
  • Work closely with Education on proper formulas, messaging and managing media requests
  • Work closely with Marketing (US and Global Teams)
  • Manage drafting event/appointment assets (evites, event collateral, signage)
  • Manage and Guide PR Agency in all consumer relations and brand awareness activity 
  • Have visibility to PR Budget and assist if need be
  • Help Lead PR Agency status calls 
  • Work closely with Digital on SET strategies - and key word/celeb relations
  • Leverage Influencer Relationships for new EMV/Engagement opportunities -continue to present fresh ideas to help the brand image
  • Support Social Influencer programming and provide input and ideas into strengthening and growing results
  • Understand influencer reporting/analytics/ROI methods

Admin

  • Organization and maintenance of product closet
  • Open Purchase Orders and Product Orders
  • Understand PR/Social/Influencer/Print Budget 
  • Work Closely with internal Digital counterparts and brand team members
  • Handle any print media needs
