PR Account Manager/Senior Account Manager - Consumer Finance & Lifestyle

This role gives you an amazing opportunity to work on high profile and stimulating campaigns, representing a range of extremely well known clients in the consumer and corporate space.

As a Senior Account Manager you will take an active role in driving outcomes and managing client programs on a day-to-day basis and provide reliable, helpful and valuable insights and counsel. You understand campaign strategy and enjoy working with your seniors to establish the best course of action to meet your client’s needs. You are proactive, highly organised, have strong attention to detail, work independently but are aware of appropriate points to engage senior stakeholders for their counsel.

You are a self-starter who takes responsibility for driving outcomes while working closely with more senior consultants. It is important in this role that you use initiative and when looking to senior consultants for counsel, you always present a possible solution. You will be responsible for junior staff, delegating and supervising work and providing opportunities for them to learn from you and develop their professional skills.

This is a critical career stage and an opportunity to grow in your career and become indispensable to your clients as you move towards ‘owning’ campaigns end to end. At this level you are expected to have a strong understanding of the Australian media landscape and evidence of positive relationships with media. You are focused on results with a firm handle on process as well.

You will have:

• Strong and growing knowledge of PR and communication principles and techniques
• Strategic thinking and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Previous experience managing junior team members
• Ability to build relationships with clients
• Excellent knowledge of media ownership, publications and journalists reporting for major outlets
• Understanding trends and news that may affect the PR industry and your clients
• End-to-end budget management
• Strong skills in written and verbal communication and strong presentation skills
• A minimum of five years working in a PR or journalism role
• Undergraduate degree in PR, Communications or Journalism is preferred but not mandatory
