PR Account Manager – Consumer, Lifestyle, FMCG – Global Agency

This role is a fantastic opportunity allowing for an overall scope of learning, and is a fantastic career move for a driven individual which will allow you to interact across all media platforms, social media, marketing activities, copywriting, client service and general support duties. This role will allow you to work on some amazing and extremely well known Global brands.

Overall Role:

• Responsible for managing the Client relationship on a day-to-day basis and implementing program activity in conjunction with team members 

• Supports the Account Director in the development of Client program plans 

• Understand and translate specific industry issues such that they can be effectively pitched to 
media to the benefit of the Client 

• Develop releases, Client and journalist profiles, bylined articles, white papers and other 
relevant media materials 

• Create accurate budget estimates for Clients, negotiate fees with Clients/prospective Clients 

• Provides ongoing counsel and guidance to junior Agency team members, ensuring the 
maintenance of the highest standards across all Client and Agency business related matters 

• Support the Account Director in the professional development of team members utilising proprietary tools and other formal and informal training processes and 
systems 


Workplace Leadership:

• Support the Account Director in the selection and appointment of junior staff and conduct annual appraisal discussions with your reports in line with the Performance Management Process 

• Contribute to greater learning of staff by playing a proactive role in the refinement and implementation of internal training programs 

• Instruct junior staff in the areas of writing, editing and pitching skills 


Client Leadership:

• Engage in daily Client contact and attend and contribute to the effective management of Client meetings 

• Demonstrate the highest levels of corporate standards in all staff and Client business matters, such that members of your team follow your professional lead 

• Actively seek out information on the full range of products and services to the benefit of staff and Clients alike 

• Forge ongoing relationships with executives across the Group, seeking collaborative and integrated business development opportunities wherever possible 

• Support the Account Director in the development and implementation of specialist services in line with those business opportunities that exist within the marketplace 

• Support the Account Director in the development and conversion of new business opportunities
