*Provides high-quality professional counsel and service to clients, meeting or exceeding the expectations and standards of the client and the agency.

*Prepares effective comprehensive media and public relations programs and plans that are well organized and well written. Includes detailed hours and cost budgets that are appropriate to client needs and resources.

*Manages day-to-day client activities, including research, planning, implementation and evaluation of public relations activities, paying careful attention to budgets, deadlines and client records.

*Maintains close and frequent contact with clients, and strengthens relationship between the agency and the client.

*Demonstrates strong writing, editing and proofing skills.

*Builds and maintains rapport with community and media leadership, both locally and regionally. Uses excellent written and verbal communication skills, with various media, clients and internal staff.

*Coordinates vendors as needed to carry out client service requirements and ensures quality, cost-effective service, within budget and established timeframe.

*Demonstrates effective knowledge of print, electronic and interactive media, particularly those that impact client activities, industry categories or business sectors.

*Monitors trends in public relations, marketing and the health care industry, including competitors’ activity in the marketplace.

*Collaborates with account management and creative teams when applicable to provide integrated, comprehensive campaigns for marketing and public relations. Ensures that supervisors and agency team members are kept fully informed regarding activities and plans of individuals and clients.

*Reviews and approves accuracy of time and expense reports necessary for invoicing, ensuring the attachment or inclusion of proper support data.

*As an ambassador for the agency, proactively seeks new business opportunities with existing or prospective clients.

*Represents the company in a professional manner and is eager to help other employees in the spirit of teamwork.

*Shows respect for others and has the character to be consistent, fair and honest in all business matters.
