PPT Specialist/Graphic Designer

Vitamin T is working alongside a client seeking a Graphics Operator/PowerPoint Specialist for our Chicago, Illinois office. The Graphics Operator is a member of our in-house Graphics Team delivering exceptional customer service to our North America team as well as international colleagues. Applicant should be a PowerPoint expert with Graphic Design experience. This is not a position for strictly a Graphic Designer. The focus is on PowerPoint presentations. This is a contract-to-hire position in downtown Chicago.

Responsibilities include the creative development of presentations, business graphics, 2D infographics, illustrations, charts, and images within established corporate design standards. Primary responsibilities will include providing creative, technical, and administrative support on our most important client deliverables, including:

> The design of PowerPoint presentations and the appropriate use of Adobe software such as Photoshop to elevate our key deliverables and establish presentations & report templates.
> Build the design and content of PowerPoint reports/presentations slide shows including overall design with branding standards, charts/diagrams, images and illustrations, proofing (typos, numbers, misspellings, fixing alignment, font, style, consistency in reports.

The Graphics Operator is a member of our in-house Graphics team delivering exceptional customer services to our North American team as well as international colleagues. Applicant should be a PowerPoint (or Keynote) expert with Graphic Design experience. This is not a position for strictly a Graphic Designer. The focus is on business presentations.

3. Essential Job Functions

3.1 Responsible for accurate layout and formatting of PowerPoint presentations within corporate design templates and standards (90%)
> The design of PowerPoint presentations and the appropriate use of Adobe software (such as PhotoShop or Illustrator) to elevate our key deliverables and establish presentation & report templates
> Build the design and content of PowerPoint reports/presentation slide shows including overall design within branding standards including text and data input, charts/diagrams, images and illustrations, proofing (typos, numbers, misspellings, fixing alignment, font, style, size, consistency in reports, etc.)
> Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy, quality, and a critical eye in terms of aesthetics
> Collaborate, communicate and work effectively with internal Consultant teams to understand project requirements, needs and timelines in order to manage the successful delivery of design and content
> Modify, revise and edit PowerPoint documents as required by the client
> Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts for presentations to ensure creative elements consistently support the vision of the project and meet or exceed our creative standards
> Additional creative project responsibility available depending on skillset and aptitude to master Business Graphics core tasks
> Image sourcing and manipulation from multiple formats
> Secured .pdf and scanning, printing, and binding of presentation materials
3.2 Departmental support (10%)
> Support department supervisor in scheduling production capacity for new acquisition and ongoing client projects
> Act as an advisor to internal clients on design standards and best practices
> Accurate and efficient filing of all presentation and digital asset materials
> Support internal clients with local knowledge base research
> Complete project billing timesheets as required
> Participate in training programs as required
> Other duties as assigned

3.3 Experience and Knowledge Required
> Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of digital art, graphic design, color theory, typography, page layout, and 2D illustration required
> Advanced PowerPoint skills (2010+), with the ability to chart and graph data into clear and concise infographics and presentations for clients
> Strong Word and Excel skills
> Think-cell experience a major plus
> Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat is required – other Adobe Creative Suite software experience a plus
> Aptitude for learning new technology and concepts, and the ability to remain informed of industry developments particularly with regards to design programs (on-the-job training for proprietary tools will be provided)
> Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with Consultant teams to effectively meet their presentation needs and deadlines
> Proactive attitude: Take initiative and anticipate the needs of managers and team members with willingness to take on new projects/assignments
> Quick thinker with the ability to work independently and effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight timeframes
> Poised and composed while working individually or within large groups with tight deadlines
> Self-motivated with an enthusiasm to develop skill set and take on responsibilities
> Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy, quality, and a critical eye in terms of aesthetics and proofreading
> Accurate proofreading and math skills
> Background in a professional services firm or previous experience with a consulting organization or financial services in a similar role

3.4 Qualifications
> Bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts preferred or equivalent coursework and professional experience
> Minimum two years' experience developing presentations in a professional services environment preferred
> Flexibility in work schedule between business hours of 8am-7pm local time
> Able to work extended hours as workload demands
