PMO Responsibilities Project Tracking, Reporting and Analysis
• Maintain multiple project mechanisms to track milestone progress against timelines and budgets, using established metrics
• Identify and communicate any critical issues, according to the established decision making and issue management protocols.
• Develop and conduct weekly program meetings using program tracking metrics and templates based on the current issues related to the program
• Develop materials for various project status/update meetings to the overall project. This includes Steering Committee, Advisory Committee, various members of leadership, ESS Governance Board, Utility Leadership Committee, OCE, Board, etc.
• Working with Systems Integrator on quantifying Value Realization opportunities as a result of the project. Manage the Project Management Office (PMO)
• Provide Management Advisory Services to Program Leadership including the proactive identification of potential issues, efficiency opportunities, and a point of view on strategic decisions
• Provide independent oversight that will work independently from the System Integrator to manage the project scope, timeline, cost, and quality to provide an additional level of checks and balances.
• Support review and rationalization of Project Plan including the identification of issues and managing the process to resolve
• Monitor overall project health by utilizing processes, tools, and templates that will assess and report periodically on project health.
Risk Identification and Management
• Assess risk to project schedule and budget bringing experience from other implementations
• Provide cost and schedule impacts to any risk related issues discovered during the project
• Prioritize and mitigate risks using defined process.
• Risk, Issues and Decisions – ensure outstanding and/or critical risks, issues, and/or decisions are promptly identified and resolved, according to the defined process
• Facilitate quality assurance programs for the project Supporting the Work Streams
• Support various program work steams to create materials including project processes, plan updates, deliverable reviews, and issue management which will be used to communicate transformation to advisory/ steering committees
• Support Business Case development and presentation for proposed enhancements and customizations
• Facilitate, manage and report out on the approval of enhancements
