Operational Training Lead (Instructional Designer)

The Operational Training Lead will provide leadership and tactical management for the development and implementation of operations and systems training and internal business units training along with the creation of development programs in support of our client's vision and strategic direction. They will originate, prepare and write curriculum to meet the training and education needs of the field and internal partners, covering such topics as operations, systems, best practices, business process, and agent onboarding.

Essential Job Functions
• Develop and execute a strategic plan that will provide best-in-class field training and certification for field and internal business units.
• Provides technical expertise/input in designing training programs and materials and in establishing controls and measures for the effectiveness of the programs and materials.
• Analyzes, evaluates, and researches training activities.
• Follows-up with management and classroom participants to evaluate the effectiveness of the training and educational programs; makes recommendations for new or improved training methods in accordance with findings.
• Identifies specific areas of deficiencies in overall business results.
• Develops and implements corrective training programs.
• Champion the selection, customization, roll-out, training, and ongoing update that professionally addresses customer-centric tools and resources offered by Farmers in coordination with business units and internal training department.
• Leads the creation and preparation of materials for training and educational programs, clinics, seminars, home study, and other educational techniques for use by all levels of field personnel, including agents, CSRs, DMs, LifeReps, DMMs, and SEDs, along with internal business units and partners to sales and marketing including Underwriting, Operations, and business units and training department.
• Assists in planning and execution of multi-media training and direct programs.
• Develop and execute a tactical plan that will provide best-in-class support for product roll-out and revision.
• Designs training/seminars to support product expansion/introduction.
• Conducts train the trainer classes for field trainers and oversees execution of field training; delivers pre-determined training modules to employees.
• Provides spot training as evaluated. Work in close collaboration with vendors to build training toolkit including reference guides, checklists, FAQs, etc.
• Manages training logistics both internally and externally.
