Onsite User Experience Architect needed for contract!

Our client is looking for a talented analytical User Experience Architect to join a fast-paced and growing UX practice to be hands on an act as a Project Team member.

The User Experience Architect/Designer will work directly with clients in providing broad user experience strategy and designing innovative, engaging and effective designs that help users easily solve complex problems.

The ideal candidate should possess the ability to think strategically, [experience managing a team of designers], deep knowledge of visual and interaction design principles, and can coach stakeholders in user-centered design best practices, process, and vision.

Key Responsibilities
Work with clients at strategic and tactical levels to design the user experience for various initiatives across multiple channels like Web, mobile and tablet.

Additional responsibilities include:
Understanding client needs, setting up UX roadmaps and planning, UX design (from user research, information architecture, interaction design, usability testing) [and managing cross-functional teams of UX Architects, Visual Designers and Front-end Developers].

Specific responsibilities include:
· Providing thought leadership in user experience; contribute ideas, knowledge and insights on emerging trends in user experience design.
· Contribute across the User Experience Design Arc:
· User Research (personas, Contextual Inquiry etc.)
· Information architecture (Site Structure, Navigation Design)
· Interaction Design (Interaction Models, wireframe development, clickable prototypes using Axure and other such tools)
· Usability Testing (Test Planning, Test Script development, Conducting Remote and lab-based usability tests)
· Set overall UX strategy and guide UX architects
· Collaborate with and guide Visual Designers, provide design critiques.
· Partner with our development team to ensure technical feasibility and flawless implementation
· User Experience Solutioning, UX project Management, Project estimation etc.
· Communicate and demonstrate the value and rationale of design decisions to business and technology partners

Qualifications, experience and skills

· 8-10 years’ experience as an information architect, interaction designer, experience designer or similar
· Degree in a related field, such as Interactive Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or Human Factors
· Deep knowledge of the User Experience Design process
· Experience designing highly transactional websites or web-based applications
· Experience designing for mobile devices (smartphones, tablets)
· Experience using web analytics, user insights to inform design decisions
· Hands-on design skills in wireframes, persona development
· Solid understanding of user research and user centered design
· Experience with both traditional solution delivery methodologies, and with rapid, iterative solution delivery methods, such as Agile
· [Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team, as well as work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams]
· [Proven success in creative direction, leading design teams]
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, decentralized environment
· [Ability to successfully juggle multiple projects in a compressed timeline, with competing priorities]
· Good command over wireframing tools like Axure, Visio, and design tools like Adobe Creative Suite (these are indicative)
· Knowledge of Visual Design and respectable skills
· Equally comfortable in the conceptual and production aspects of UX Design
· Good understanding of front end technology capabilities and constraints
· Good communication skills, and ability to interface and participate/drive meetings with clients, users/ stakeholders, partners and technology teams
