Online Merchandising Specialist

The Global Online Team is looking to hire an Online Merchandising Specialist to assist the North America team in merchandising and promotional programs for Our client’s (North America) eCommerce sites and the Client Store. Reporting into the NA Site Manager, this person will be responsible for assisting in driving bookings generating programs, intensive UAT of the sites and flows, day to day analysis of promos, and help with general site merchandising, promotions, experimentation, personalization and optimization efforts for several eCommerce sites servicing the US/Canada market. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to be an instrumental figure within one of our client’s fastest growing channels, its Direct-to-Consumer Online platform.

The ideal candidate will have strong interest working within the gaming market and have a good understanding of eCommerce practices and channels. This person would a well-rounded online marketer with expertise in all aspects of eCommerce merchandising and site management processes.

Responsibilities of this role include:
* Site Merchandising Support – provide input on product, pricing and feature strategy to maximize conversion and revenue.
* Help define catalogue and pricing strategy and roadmap
* Help drive the site promotional and editorial calendar:
* Drive and prioritize marketing and promotional campaigns on the site according to business priorities.
* Plan, optimize and coordinate the editorial calendar
* Interface with our retail sales and label marketing teams to align promotions
* Test and optimize product cross-sell and up-sell placements on our sites
* Collaborate with label marketing and other business groups to support marketing campaigns and promotions through customized user flows, campaign pages, etc.
* Optimize site search programming
* Content management
* Ensure quality of all content on site
* Outline a content optimization plan and checklist to maximize conversion and identify required capabilities to improve content targeting/personalization
* Assisting with SEO optimization efforts
* Programs Analysis
* Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business data for review by internal partners, management, and other stakeholders
* Provide recommendation on Sales Strategy and future programs based on data and site metrics
* UAT Coordination
* Develop test strategy, test plans, and managing test execution
* Regular site audit including text, prices, imagery, and interactive and social tools.

Requirements/Qualifications:
* Appreciation for effective web architecture and user experience strategies required
* Passion for innovation and problem-solving required
* Ability to grasp business concepts quickly and to present complex information in a clear and concise fashion to business stakeholders
* Experience in a marketing function or online business
* Understanding of Electronic software download channels and a natural affinity with the videogames sector as a whole is a strong plus
* Customer-centric mindset, with previous experience marketing to the consumer segment
* Strong organizational and analytical skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* 3 – 5 years relevant experience

Relevant Experience
* User Acceptance Testing experience
* Ability to remain focused and attention to detail
* Ability to create and execute a test scripts including positive and negative testing
* Document and communicate effectively bugs encountered using bug tracking system
* Reproduce identified bugs and retest following corrective actions
Provide feedback regarding enhancements
* Localization QA experience
* Familiarity with proofreading large amounts of text quickly and effectively
