Online Merchandiser - Fashion

The Online Merchandiser facilitates the customer experience across the client website and its key touch points. In a role that is both creative and analytical, you must be able to stay supremely organized while managing a high volume of assets and mastering new content tools, HTML, and proprietary systems. You will support the site merchandising manager, marketing, and buying teams to help set the merchandising strategy for the site across all product categories. Day-to-day, you will own calendar updates, project trackers, creative briefs and more, as well as being responsible for scheduling and providing analytical insight into campaign results. Secondary responsibilities include supporting site promotions, email QA responsibilities, and liaising between the business and customer service groups to ensure clear, compelling onsite messaging.

Our ideal candidate has e-commerce knowledge, specifically within the fashion industry. You should be flexible and comfortable multi-tasking on high-volume projects. Your communication skills and ability to work with other teams in a project management capacity must be excellent.
•Responsibilities:
•Daily asset management across the site including utilizing proprietary tools and systems to schedule marketing content and banner messages.
•Manage the marketing/merchandising calendar and creative brief/due date trackers for the team
•Support the email team with regular email QA
•Support customer-facing transactional copy writing, customer service help pages and key feature launches on site including working with strings to post updates.
•Providing timely, clear reporting on site content and traffic metrics using Omniture and proprietary systems

Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related required
•2+ years of comparable online merchandising, marketing or publishing experience
•Familiarity with Excel and knowledge of internet technology

Preferred Qualifications
•Exceptional communication, writing as well as analytical / technical skills
•Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
•Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Coremetrics/Omniture/Google Analytics.
•The ability to multi-task, and to work both independently and as part of a team

This is a two month contract with the strong possibility of going full-time!
