Online Marketing Manager

A National Retailer group is seeking a highly motivated, high-achieving Online Marketing Manager to support the online marketing efforts for multiple brands. As a member of the in-house online marketing team, the Online Marketing Manager will work closely with Website Directors, 3rd party agencies and partners, and other internal departments to oversee, problem-solve, and drive the performance goals of our brands. This individual must be committed to understanding interactive technology, project management, internal and external partner deadlines and have a strong understanding of establishing goals and KPIs within a business context. This role reports to the Director of Online Marketing.

Key Accountabilities:

- Lead all digital marketing efforts for the company, write briefs, optimization plans and much more.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of programs are on brand, are user obsessed, and are employing best practices in digital marketing.
- Build a strong relationship with both creative and media agencies to create great work that is closely tied together between media and messaging.
- Constantly push the boundaries on digital marketing efforts and what can be done to drive leading edge efforts.
- Continuous optimization of marketing programs (e.g. SEM, SEO, display, comparison shopping, local search) in order to push acquisitions, increase awareness, and drive traffic and sales
- Manage online marketing operations and media budgets. This involves working with the finance group on forecasts, accruals, invoice coding, and reporting
- Develop and review all major deliverables (e.g. work orders, media authorizations, marketing calendars, technical specifications, UAT testing scenarios, etc)
- Ensures all online marketing-related issues are dealt with in an efficient manner
- Maintain a continuous knowledge of current promotions and online project statuses in order to identify potential issues and/or opportunities as it relates to marketing
- Track, measure and report on marketing campaign performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Collaborate with brand managers, site directors, merchandisers, IT, store operations, creative and legal teams to execute new and existing initiatives
- Evaluate and recommend new opportunities and technologies

Desired Skills and Experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or other relevant field required
- 5-7 years of proven experience in online marketing, project management, and ecommerce
- Passionate about the web and extremely detail oriented.
- Experience in a variety of web marketing channels (SEM, SEO, comparison shopping, local search, display, and emerging media)
- Some basic understanding of HTML, flash, java, and CSS coding
- eCommerce technology competence (web analytics, user acceptance testing, A/B testing, content management, best practices, etc)
- High level of initiative and ability to work in a team environment
