Online Marketing Manager
The Marketing Manager manages the site marketing, email and promotions.
Management skills and relationship building are key for ensuring success in this role, as is a background in retail marketing. This is a contract role through 2013.
Drive overall strategy and execution for site marketing, email and promotions to meet business objectives, complement the store experience, deliver innovation and build the brand.
Collaborate with buying team to ensure that pre-season promotion plans support financial forecasts. Drive contingency planning to enable in-season flexibility for changing business conditions.
Work proactively with buying team to identify and prioritize requests for Canada specific marketing while leveraging key US merchandising and US marketing strategies where possible.
Serve as a key online liaison with Canada brand marketing team, digital strategy team, and Canada Customer Service.
Write effective, intuitive and innovative marketing briefs for Canada specific campaigns.
Identify opportunities to leverage store marketing programs and messages to encourage multi-channel behavior and create synergies across online and offline marketing vehicles.
Manage QA process for all Canada site marketing, email, and promotions.
Responsible for setting up and QA’ing all Canada related promotion codes.
Lead team in website analytics, data-driven learning/decisions and hindsighting.
Develop and enhance segmentation and testing strategies to optimize customer engagement against email
Passion for retail, fashion, e-commerce and the brand.
Track record of solid strategic thinking. Ability to zoom out to high level strategic work and zoom in to detail work such as QA of Canada specific marketing.
Ability to apply thought leadership to overall site strategy as well as translate product stories into compelling marketing messages.
Extensive experience in building effective cross functional relationships and navigating the complexities of a large organization.
Excellent communications skills: timely follow-up, ability to articulate objectives, strategies and tactics to various cross-functional teams.
Outstanding organizational skills and project management experience: ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to analyze data , interpret for a broad audience and develop fact-based recommendations to drive marketing decision-making
Ability to communicate persuasively and present effectively in a variety of presentation settings (one-on-one, small and large groups, with peers, direct reports, and management)
Ability to thrive under pressure and in a fast paced environment
Familiarity with French language is a plus, but not required
5+ years relevant experience
