Online Marketing Manager - Retail

Our client, a leading online beauty store, is looking for a passionate and driven Online Marketing Manager to join their London team on a permanent basis.

This role is responsible for the planning, delivery, execution and reporting of all online marketing activity (comprising email, PPC, affiliates and SEO) as well as providing general support to the e-Commerce team. Email in particular is a key marketing tool and as such, you will be required to devise the weekly email brief ensuring it closely reflects the current campaign and drives good quality traffic to the website. Equally, you need to demonstrate an understanding of what a good online customer journey looks like, from search to checkout. You will provide weekly trade reports, analyse and articulate findings make recommendations as required. Forging strong relationships with partnerships and search agencies is critical so excellent communication skills are essential. Naturally, key to this role is an expert understanding of the brand values and ensuring all online marketing content and copy is on brand at all times.

Key Accountabilities
• Co-ordination and maintenance of all online marketing activity 

• Timely and comprehensive briefing of emails, promotions and activity to all depts. 

• Accurate maintenance of the various internal marketing calendars 

• Accountable for the set-up and testing of search & partnership promotions 

• Daily & weekly reporting of KPIs by channel including demand, traffic, spend, CPCs, 
CoS, CPAs, commission, override and conversion 

• Prepare and manage the annual online marketing budget 

• Maintain agency relationship with daily contact and feedback 

• Work closely with buying, merchandising and retail to ensure current product and 
trading strategies are accurately reflected in campaigns 

• Closely monitor competitors, both online and high street, for fresh ideas and 
promotional activity 

• Attend relevant industry events and seminars to ensure is up to speed on 
the latest innovations 

Required skills: 

• A passion for beauty or fashion and e-Commerce 

• Experience in PPC and affiliate marketing channels 

• Strong sales, negotiation and implementation skills 

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel 

• Confidence in handling and interpreting data and articulating your findings 

• Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail 

• Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team 

• Proactive with ‘can-do’ attitude’ 
Desirable skills: 

• Experience of utilising a web analytics platform 

• Experience of using a content management system (CMS)
