Online Marketing Lead

Our client, a world leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software, is looking for an Online Marketing Contractor to lead the day-to-day marketing for the company’s Sustainable Design Education initiative, driving global participation in support of Sustainable Design Education programs and goals. This includes marketing of the Sustainability website and other sustainable design learning content directed at secondary and post-secondary student and educator audiences.

Moving seamlessly between program strategy and day-to-day execution, the Online Marketing Contractor will be responsible for driving site visits to the Sustainability Workshop site through public relations, SEM, email, web, social media, and other online marketing campaigns; managing the launch of the new Building Performance Analysis Certification (BPAC) program; identifying and managing distribution partners for the new secondary learning content; and Education co-marketing initiatives.
This person will work closely with the other members of the Sustainable Design Education Team as well as global Education Marketing, Sustainability Marketing, external vendors and strategic partners to execute the strategy and meet the pre-determined fiscal year goals.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and distribute marketing content around the Sustainability Workshop through various channels, including: student and educator email newsletters, student and educator Facebook pages, Twitter, web banners, etc.
• Identify, vet and manage strategic marketing partnerships, which may include identifying new partners/organizations or working with existing ones for co-development and/or distribution of learning content, as well as promotion of student design contests or other programs.
• Manage Education editorial calendars for student and educator Facebook pages, Twitter accounts, email newsletters, and web banners to ensure sustainable design education is represented on a consistent, ongoing basis.
• Oversee and execute the launch marketing plan for the launch of the new certification program. Work closely with the cross-departmental core team on the development of deliverables, execution of launch activities, and announcement of the student design competition.
• Participate in regular meetings with various Education Program and Marketing stakeholders, and the overall Sustainability Marketing team, Sustainable Design Education program leads, PR manager, web team and others as needed to identify, pursue and oversee opportunities to promote sustainable design education externally and internally.
• Provide monthly updates and quarterly reports on the status of the Sustainable Design Education marketing program to various stakeholders, including how we’re tracking to goals and objectives. Adjust and modify strategy and tactics as required.
• Manage program-specific budget related to partnerships, sponsorships, search engine marketing, content development, etc.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field. Advanced degree in marketing and domain knowledge in sustainability preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or related role, specifically working on demand generation, online marketing, partner marketing and/or social media programs.
• Independently driven and comfortable in a start-up entrepreneurial role, ready and willing to operate at both at a strategic and tactical project level.
• Proven track record for bringing new ideas and a creative vision to their work.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.
• Excellent project coordination and organizational skills in areas such as marketing, social media, public relations, events, and web marketing with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proven collaboration and people skills and the ability to work with cross-functional, global and remote teams, in a highly matrixed organization.
• Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and strong decision making skills are required.
• Budget management experience preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is a 12 month, full-time, W-2 contract position located in San Francisco, CA; there is potential that this position can convert to a permanent position for the right person.
This position is not eligible for telecommute or offsite work
