Online Content Manager

A small online product marketing team at a F100 financial services company is looking for a rock star online content manager for a 6-12 month contract assignment. This role has potential to extend up to 18 months or convert to full time. This is a 40 hour/ week onsite role in downtown SF (W2 only with benefits via Aquent).

As an industry leader, they put customers at the center of all that they do. They make every decision - and design every product and service - with their customers in mind. This team is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Online Content Manager collaborate with Product Managers to manage and execute the ongoing updates and optimization for customer needs centric content, and ongoing public site optimization efforts on a highly visible B2C website.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter able to dive in, with high attention to detail and proven success in working with multiple stakeholders, managing relationships, setting and achieving deadlines. The candidate should also have experience with creating and maintaining an editorial calendar, familiarity with content management systems, and experience in assessing the performance of content.

As their new Online Content Manager, you’ll:
- Manage the editorial calendar for updates on their .com site, needs-based content, and other public site content updates
- Manage the end-to-end process for updating content in key areas of the public site
- Manage relationships and consolidate feedback from business, legal, and technology representatives
- Collaborate with Line of Business and legal and compliance teams as needed to capture all required approvals
- Work with social media partners to broaden awareness of certain key public site content
- Create detailed content decks (e.g., body content, links, metadata, disclosures) used for publishing new content
- Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) of public site pages in development
- Become well versed in the public site design frameworks
- Provide status updates as needed to Product Managers and Project Managers, including post-launch metrics analysis

You’ll need to:
- Possess content publishing experience (CMS, etc.)
- Be proactive, self-starter with a high attention to detail in materials
- Possess ability to assess and deliver ideal user experiences
- Have strong relationship management skills to work with stakeholders and ask questions as needed to address any ambiguities, capture feedback, distill key points, and identify next steps
- Demonstrate the ability to manage time efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Have proven experience in prioritizing work from multiple projects based on dependencies and pending deadlines
- Demonstrate an ability and interest in technology with the ability to capture technical details required in project definition documents, business requirements, etc.

We’d prefer:
- Past experience in SEO; past experience in using SEO analysis platforms is a plus
- Experience managing 3rd party vendors and acting as the key liaison
- Have a technology background in banking, brokerage, or insurance industry

Examples of prior work with content development and optimization may be requested.
