Our client, a leading online travel booking company, is looking to take on a Merchandising Publisher to join their London team for a 5month contract. The role is responsible for the end to end management and execution of online merchandising and promotional campaign, and the setup of voucher campaigns across Expedia’s EMEA sites and other regions such as LATAM, CA, US and ANZ

Key Responsibilities:
• Take full ownership of Flash Sale and Secondary merchandising campaigns from the initial idea through to launch.
• Work closely with the EMEA Trading Desks and the Creative and Production Team to develop compelling campaign ideas, copy and creatives.
• Work closely with supply team to ensure that deal inventory for promotions is as strong as it can be, and keep alignment with other regions / Expedia Inc. brands on deal sourcing efforts.
• Execute page production tasks, e.g., build, update / maintain and localize merchandising pages and creative assets, extract and price deals, test pages and manage approval of pages from Trading Desks.
• Supply regular, actionable campaign reports for any assigned campaigns
• Work closely with the email marketing channel to build merchandising-themed emails for all EMEA points of sale; to include calendar planning, creative and copy development, email build etc.
• Take full ownership of the coupon creation process, training on the tool, liaising with the technical coupon team and represent EMEA’s needs in terms of required coupon tool functionalities and roadmap.
• Create and test promotional vouchers for various stakeholders and campaigns, advise teams on most suitable voucher types to use.
• Ensure all voucher requests are completed within acceptable SLAs and enforce these where necessary.
• Become confident user of a variety of current merchandising tools and systems needed to support merchandising and promotional efforts.
• Benchmark merchandising activities and capabilities vs. competitors.
• Evaluate market opportunities and identify trends for use in effective decision-making

Requirements:
• At least 1-2 years of hands-on merchandising experience, ideally in an international/multilingual environment and/or the Travel industry
• Confident communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Stress-resilient: Ability to multi task and manage high workload in a busy environment
• Perfectionist: Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Creative: Think of new ideas and ways to push beyond limits
