On-Line Content Merchandiser

Our Client's Instant Video team is searching for an enthusiastic and creative Merchandiser to help our email, on-device and onsite marketing efforts. Instant Video team offers customers two great ways to watch movies and TV shows: Customers can rent or buy more than 150,000 titles, or sign up for our client's on line programs and get unlimited streaming of more than 40,000 movie and TV episodes This role will support marketing programs to existing customers, and to acquire new ones.

The successful candidate will be possess exceptional merchandising sensibility. They will be detail-oriented and organized, capable of handling multiple projects at once, and capable of dealing with ambiguity and rapidly-changing priorities. He or she should be capability of independently delivering on high-visibility customer communications. Candidates must be successful both as individual contributors and in a team environment, and must be obsessed with serving the customer.

The Merchandiser will be responsible for developing and executing merchandising and email outreach campaigns focused on driving usage of our client's Instant Video and introducing Instant Video to non-members. Additional responsibilities include executing and measuring results of tests, working with content acquisition teams to feature high-profile and new content, and creating fresh on-device merchandising.

Candidates should be effective communicators, highly organized, collaborative and adept at learning new tools and systems. Our environment is fast-paced and requires someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, and comfortable working effectively in a deadline-driven work environment.


Basic Qualifications
1-3 years experience in online merchandising and/or online marketing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Execute projects showing a strong bias for action, ability to prioritize and meet regular deadlines
• Ability to analyze data quantitatively and identify data and metrics to make smart marketing decisions
• Running and executing email marketing tests
• Knowledge of Excel


Preferred Qualifications
• Experience writing customer-facing content that is on-brand, relevant, and tailored to the internet shopper.
• Experience with various email and content scheduling tools
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience with online retail or media industry
• Understanding and use of web metrics and how to gauge
• XML/HTML skills: no need to hand-code, but you can troubleshoot.
• Basic SQL skills: can manipulate and edit queries
• Comfortable with a varied set of software and editing tools. Ability to learn new tools quickly
