CONTRACT: 6 MONTHS
LOCATION: SAN FRANCISCO
PAY: $16/HOUR

** A FORTUNE 500 FASHION COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL ONLINE MERCHANDISE COORDINATOR **

RESPONSIBLITIES:

SITE MANAGEMENT
• Responsible for web management to create a compelling product experience on the site, including inspirational merchandise presentation, intuitive category navigation and clear / accurate product details in support of financial strategies
• Partner with Sample Coordinator as needed to ensure timely launch of product on site
• Assess upcoming seasonal marketing messages to ensure featured product will be in good inventory position for launch – recommend any style / CC level holding / strategies with manager
• Execute bi weekly site refreshes making sure linking and customer experience is correct

INVENTORY/PRICING
• Manage the monthly receipt reconciliation process to provide an accurate financial record of open orders
• Complete outstanding purchase order work (i.e. color and size breakdowns, packing details) on timely basis
• Track incoming PO’s to ensure timely delivery and communicate any issues (i.e. late or priority orders) to appropriate contacts (brand production, Buyers logistics, DC)
• Own and maintain accurate regular and markdown online pricing for both shared and exclusive styles
• Own and maintain accurate promotional pricing for both shared and exclusive styles
• Responsible for ticket management and follow through for all product / category related site presentation issues
• Responsible for set up and maintenance of the website
• Support merchant team’s in-season business reaction
• Assist with web management to create a compelling product experience on the site
• Prepare and maintain a seasonal style list to allow pre-season tasks to be clearly grouped and managed
• Optimize the mapping of the merchandise hierarchy into the web hierarchy to reduce manual product associations
• Ensure that all products have appropriate imagery and copy ready to post when the product is available for sale
o Requires submitting photo requests for all products, reviewing and approving those images, submitting copy requests for all products, reviewing and approving the product copy
• Associate styles into the web hierarchy, sort styles within departments, add marketing flags, merge styles, add cross-sells
• Maintain categories by eliminating sold-out styles or markdown styles depending on merchandise strategy
• Support creation of marketing content: Create outfit records, submit photography requests for outfits and assets, update outfit requests with actual image files, update outfits
• Review website daily to ensure proper functionality of categories and styles
• Communicate issues and best practices to all merchandising teams
• Communicate web calendar to merchandising team
• Work with product management to learn, test and approve functionality of systems
• Execute online merchandising strategy on the website
• Request and monitor workflow ensuring products are ready to sell upon receipt

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 1 – 2 years experience in retail / merchandising and / or on-line preferred
• Strong computer skills, in depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to learn computer systems quickly
• Effective time management skills, strong written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical skills
