Newspaper Senior Title Manager

The Senior Title Manager will implement and maintain discipline and rigour across all elements of the ‘one-sell’

edition based portfolio (advertising across print and tablet). They will be responsible for ensuring that

advertising revenues are maximised, non-deal based pricing is in-line with agreed business measures,

advertising ratios are attained and production costs are minimised. They will do this whilst recognising the

balance of editorial and advertising content within a subscription and paid circulation business model.

The Senior Title Manager will closely engage with teams within the commercial department, as well as

collaborating with departments across the wider business. In addition, the Senior Title Manager will be a

pivotal contact for Editorial and will be on hand for issue resolution, flow of commercial information and

custom formats. Key accountabilities will include:

 Collaborating with Editorial to support the development of commercial opportunities that will be

successful in the market and drive positive performance vs. Commercial’s KPIs and business health

measures

 Championing and coordinating the weekly and monthly reporting of commercial financial KPIs,

evaluating performance vs. targets, whilst identifying trends, threats and opportunities within

 Establishing the framework of the title’s operating P&L via product architectures (including the setting

and managing of pagination and the cost of custom formats)

 Working with the Head of Title Management and Sales and Trading to develop budgets and forecasts

 Identifying opportunities to improve the profitability of the portfolio through creating new sections or

changing elements of the book (involving Sales and Trading as and when appropriate.
